Shoyeido's Avenue of The Villa Incense, 80 Sticks - Nijo

This incense is the same as the coils but it has a shorter burning time because a coil is much longer. But if you look at them both price wise you come out about the same. When I go into my drawer I find myself going for these more often than my coils. Due to the fact that they're shorter, I feel like I can use them more casually because I'm using less and the burn time is shorter. Often times, I'd have to get up and break the coil to stop it from burning because I wanted to save it. Now I don't have to do that. My only issue with them is when you do burn them in the holder provided the very bottom of the stick gets snuffed out and you are left with a small piece of incense about a few mm long. I end up saving these and just burn them all at once but I wish I did not have to do that. With regard to the other review "scentless" they must not have a sense of smell. You can smell it all over the house.

Avenue of the Villa is exquisite! Shoyeido is my absolute favorite brand of incense. Low smoke, exotic scent profiles, clean burning joss sticks and beautiful packaging. Shoyeido is a fine quality product and you can see the careful craftsmanship. Avenue of the Villa has low woodsy notes which are great for relaxing and setting a serene atmosphere. It resembles Moss Garden to me but with a much richer scent combination. You will not be disappointed. Light it and find your Zen.

This was my first incense from shoyeido. The scent is very sweet and nice and smells natural. I have tried all their incense lines and this is second only to their premium ones but for the price these have more value. They are great introduction into high quality Japanese incense specially that they are sweet with very nice herbal notes. The smell is very nice and lingers a while. Highly recommended.

Love love love. These are the premium brand of my favorite incense. The scent is deep and relaxing. Quality, as always - excellent.

Not the best! This box isn’t worth $20 at all. The sticks are about 4 inches long! What?! And all crumbled up on delivery, hardly any full four-inchers even left. Disappointed in an otherwise beautifully aromatic product. 1.5 stars considering price

Everything Shoyeido makes I have not had a single problem with; The incense are easy to live with day to day. the aroma's they give off are Strong, but easy to be around (not overpowering like cheaper incense). the use of higher quality materials in production are very clear. (beware, the stem style is different from traditional incense; No little wooden stem on bottom, all incense, for all of Shoyeido's products.. Compensate for that before hand and you will love it.) I personally have over 15 different products from Shoyeido and I can say; whether you burn them individually; or try pairing certain ones; they just plain work.
