This book is a delight! The best introduction to gouache I have ever come across. It's easy to follow and Clare has a lovely way of explaining all her tips and tricks. You can follow the many beautiful projects exactly as she has set out, but she also encourages you to take the projects further, making them your own, so Its great for both beginners and more experienced artists. It is a wonderful help in making cards and gifts for friends and family and a pleasure to flip through, the pages are so pretty!

This book is absolutely detailed, useful, and most of all, beautiful. In addition to explaining everything about materials, Clare explains everything about colors and harmonious choice of palettes. All drawings have a detailed step by step, I can't wait to start practicing!! It is a book suitable for anyone interested in learning or deepening the techniques of gouache painting.

Clare’s art is inspired by nature specifically garden, countryside, river and forest! This book is a wonderful opportunity to learn from her. Every project starts with mixing the colours, sketching, painting the base colours than adding the details, how she use colour pencils with gouache! Her colour choices are a unique blend of fresh, vibrant and pastels all at the same time! Highly recommended 👍🏼

でも、思っていたほどのボリュームもなく… 私としては、虫のページあんなに要らないかな… かわいいと思って買ったけれど、購入ページの紹介ページがマックスかわいいで…それが全てで、それ以上の内容は…ほとんど無い印象だったかも… 映画のCMで、全部予想できちゃう…って感覚に近い…名シーン全部CM出ししちゃいました…みたいな… 久々に… 買う程では無かったかなぁと思えた本でした。 インテリアとして、飾っておくにはかわいくて良いかも。

I really love and recommend this book to everyone who likes gouache painting or anyone who wants to learn. I bought it to learn gouache and I’m so happy with the entire book and all the projects. There is an informative section at the beginning about the supplies that you’ll need and the basics of gouache painting. Then the rest of the book is full of projects that become increasingly complex. I especially love how beautiful and modern all the projects are. Even the beginner projects at the start of the book are so beautiful and I would want to display them all!
