why can't I shampoo when washing Henna. I didn't pay attention and used shampoo. What's the disadvantage?

Hi, It's best to be as gentle as possible when washing out your henna coloring treatment and allow the color to settle for up to 48 hours. Use cold water for rinsing out and just use plain water. You can use the essential oil of your choice or a mild shampoo after 24 hours to moisturize your hair. But henna should be washed out of your hair using plain water only. Love the end color scheme

I feel more comfortable applying this paste to my scalp comparing to commercial chemical based hair dye products.
