Absolutely way to much money for what it is

As advertised. Lasts a long time.

If you want to maximize the usefulness of your plasma cutter and ensure it lasts a long time, you must provide clean and dry air from your compressor. It is a small price to pay when protecting a piece of equipment that costs $2,300.

This filter is NOT made by Hypertherm, but by Reading Technologies. The first time I used it I found it leaked air from the top of the flow indicator (with the green or red bubble). Like others, I was upset that a $200 filter would fail the first time and started to order the replacement Blanking Cap (#N32-95-020), but wanted to take one more good look. I removed the black top (with 2 screws) and noticed two SMALL brown O-rings that are supposed to seal the air as it goes through the flow indicator (bubble on top). One of the O-rings was pinched, but not torn. Using a small pick I removed both O-rings, let them regain their shape, lubricated it with my spit (not oil or WD-40!), then carefully reinstalled the top flow indicator making sure it seated gently through the O-rings without pinching or distorting them. Plugged in the air hose and NO LEAKS! Try this before you gripe out the seller, toss the filter, or order the blanking cap. It worked for me, and hopefully it will work for you.

Leaks from around the air inlet (not the threads which are tight and taped) but around the circle that surrounds it. Auto drain valve never closes so air comes shooting out of the bottom of that as well. it's completely useless, doesnt' even seal up air tight. 5 or 6 emails back and forth to the seller, doing everything they asked to get it to work, and they stopped responding. it has literally not worked for even 1 second. Completely useless, don't blow $200 thinking that because it's hypertherm, it'll be good. this think it garbage, in the most literal meaning of the word. They will not accept the return barbecue it's past 30 days.
