D-ring shackle connection point: Typically this is where you install a ball hitch. The pin on the 1/2” D-Ring Shackle has a diameter of 5/8” so make sure the hole on your machine is greater than that. If you do not have the hole for a ball hitch, similar to the 2020 Renegade, then reference the dimensions of the D-Ring to ensure it can be installed. 2. Object to Hang the Hook From. 3. At least 18 inches between the object used to hang the hook and the d-ring connection point to prevent the strap from hanging too low. Why do I need this strap? Can I use this strap to elevate or extend my current winch hook?Yes, absolutely. Typically, people will remove the D-Ring and connect their current winch hook to the thimble at the end of the strap. Will this strap work for my ATV or UTV? Please reference the ATV/UTV Requirements. Is my UTV too heavy for this strap? No. The heaviest UTV’s on the market come from the factory with only a 4500lb winch. Our strap is rated for 9,000lbs.
