Very happy with this purchase..
I needed a doghouse badly. After checking Walmart and ruling out an"igloo" model I went to Tractor Supply. They had a wooden one for $149.00. I was unsure it was large enough and didn't feel I wanted to spend the time putting it together. If I wanted to do that I'd just build one. This purchased hinged on cost, size and ease of assembly. I read the other reviews and decided I'd try this one. I have a German Shepard pup. The doghouse had to be durable; reviews indicated it could take a bit of a beating. I was aware it would be light and would have to be battened down. I was also aware it would need to be mounted on a pallet or something. I could not find this doghouse for less. I am a Prime member so the shipping was "free." The price was lower than any place else I looked. The doghouse went together in about ten minutes. I was alone and I have a bad back. The pieces are light and easy to handle alone. The ease of assembly allowed me to put it together without too much trouble. One purchaser indicated it was difficult to snap together as she lacked the strength. I did not have this problem. The clips lined up nicely and snapped tightly together. I was quite surprised and delighted. The only part that confounded me at first was connecting the two parts of the flooring. That is because it is the first step in assembling a product I was unfamiliar with. Once I figured it out the rest was a breeze. Before I made the purchase I measured my crate. I've used this crate for a Rottweiler and a Mastiff until they were about 6 months old. The doghouse measured slightly larger. I'm more than happy with the adequate size of this doghouse. It is roomier than I thought it would be and I am confident it will be large enough for my Shepard when he is full grown. There was no mention of vents. I was concerned about that but assumed, which can be dangerous, that the manufacturers would add vents and they have. There is one at each end. The stick-on letters are a nice touch. I can paint lettering but was more than happy to stick his name on the house in a matter of seconds. There are marks where you can push stakes through the flooring to hold it to the ground. I will be mounting mine on a pallet or something. This is not a thick, plush, insulated doghouse. It is durable, rigid, thin-walled plastic. It seems quite strong. Assembled and mounted properly, then adequately insulated with straw or something, it is a perfectly good doghouse and not at all as cheap as I was afraid it would look. It is a nice grey/beige color with an unassuming blue, corrugated roof. It has nice detail. Cute! My dogs do not stay outside all the time so this is good for my purpose. I saved a ton and got my doghouse in 2 days. I assembled it in minutes then prepared for company. Couldn't be happier!

PERFECT!!
Total bargain for the price! We needed something for our two mixed bread dogs to share. One is 50 lbs and the other is 15 lbs. this is so spacious we put in a flat rectangular dog bed the size of the house. They have plenty of room to either curl up in the back to stay away from the entrance or stretch out facing the entrance side by side. It's solid (already had a windy night and didn't budge), fairly easy to build (took about an hour because husband had "help" from our 10 & 7 year old daughters slowing him down). The flaps work great. We had rain and both dogs and the bed stayed dry. The price was extremely affordable since both dogs fit and shipping time was perfect as it arrived weekend before the first real heavy rain. Kids loved personalizing the house with the enclosed letter decals. UPDATE: Nov. 29, 2016 Almost a year later and the house is still in great condition! Our little dog chewed one of the flaps to the point we had to remove it, but left the other flaps intact. They still stayed dry in the rain so no harm, no foul. I love how they both will go in there and sleep when they are really cold. They have two options, the garage has two beds for them and then this dog house is in the yard. On the chillier nights we had, they slept in the dog house and when they came out to say hi to us, their bodies felt toasty warm. I no longer am concerned about them staying warm at night as this dog house has proven itself over the last year.

Great value-priced doghouse
Just got this in the mail today. It's pretty much idiot-proof to build. It requires zero tools to put together. It's probably not the most sturdy doghouse, since it literally snaps together from 10 pieces, including a two-piece clear door flap. It may not hold up to extremely gusty winds, so corner placement would probably be helpful with that, as well as maybe anchoring it down somehow with weights inside or something like that. The floor is two pieces snapped together, and sits directly on the ground. The roof is also two pieces, and each wall is one piece. It took me about 10 minutes to put together. The flaps connect with 4 included wing-nuts that screw on easily. The plastic is probably about the thickness of a standard cardboard moving box, so it's not going to be the most insulated doghouse either, which may leave your dog cold in climates up north. Adding one of those cheap aluminum foil emergency blankets with some hay or cedar chips on top would help reflect the dog's body heat back in though. It's plenty big for a lab, boxer, rot, pit, and most large dogs. Great Danes might be another story. But my yellow lab and pappi-uahua get in together with no problem. As for how it holds up under weather conditions, I'll just have to update as the seasons change. According to our crazy Arkansas weather and El Niño, spring and summer are coming soon, so check back for the updates during tornado season. But for the price, even if it only held up for a couple of years, it's hard to beat, and its main purpose for us is just to keep the dogs out of the rain and elements, as well as give them a spot for shade and heat relief for the summer. Cheers!

Really nice
This dog house gets 5 stars, with the understanding that it was one of the least expensive ones out there for this size. I definitely had some fears for it's possible low quality, but the house went together easily and looks great! It seems very sturdy. I find I really enjoy the customizable "name bar" - A small silly feature I know, but it adds character to the place. I am using the house for 4 smaller dogs so didn't want to put just one name on it and instead named the HOUSE. (Grey Haven) Complaints I guess are that it is not raised off the ground AT ALL. It really is just a flat walk into the house, so you will probably want to do something to raise it up. It's also lightweight. This is a positive when I want to move it around the yard all assembled, deciding where is just the right place... But I could see it being a problem on a windy night. (Edit: It has survived many windy nights and more than a little snow the past few months) I added a rug to the floor of mine for comfort and for a little extra weight. If that turns out to not be enough I may throw a couple good size rocks inside in the corners or something, there is PLENTY of space. My 4 dogs (total of 87 pounds between them) fit in iust fine with some room to spare. So this is 5 stars because it is amazing for the price, not because it's perfect. But if you are creative or handy at all you can bring it up to whatever standards you are likely to need.

Decent shelter for cost, not for cold weather
Based on the reviews I was hesitant about purchasing this. I have a Aussy puppy and I live in a fairly temperate zone (40f-80f year round). I wanted something that would allow my pup to get out of the rain/wind which my area gets sporadically. This suited her minimally in this regard. I knew I wouldn't need a heavily insulated dog house, due to lack of cold weather and her having a very heavy coat. I did have some issues with the flimsiness of the construction. Pros: Low cost, light, easy to spray out with a hose, the ability to put a name on the front. Plastic is hard enough to handle basic chewing without being shredded. Easy to take apart and store or transport. Cons: Wind causes a high pitch whistling inside which my pup hates. The "drainage" channels are less than useless; they just collect stagnant water, and anymore than 1/16" of water will overflow them. Roof is not waterproof; I had to put under a tarp, which doesn't look very good. The plastic flaps fell off after 2 days. The porous material makes getting stains out very difficult.

Economical Dog House for a Large Dog
I live in Nevada where it gets hot, really really hot and with plastic items you can often get sun rot, so in choosing a dog house plastic is not always the best option. This Dog house has made it through one very hot summer and one very cold winter and held up very well. It is not the deluxe super dog house you will get if you find one made of wood or have it built but for a quick easy to set up and economical dog house this does well. We did put insulation on the floor of it during the winter to help keep the chill of the ground from seeping in but we have also done that with our sturdy wood dog house as well. I was able to assemble this by myself thought there where a couple moments where I felt I was playing twister to fit all the pieces together still even with that it only took about 20 minutes and it was dog ready. Our dog is a large sized Chocolate Lab and he has plenty of room, in fact when his friend visits (she is a golden) they just bunk down together if it is chilly out and they have enough room. I will say that I only expect this dog house to last 2-3 years in our weather conditions, but for the price that is a lot of use. Also we can take it apart so if we need to travel we can take it with us and put it back together at our destination (we have done this when we went to visit my dad's ranch for a few weeks over the summer) UPDATE: I bumped this up from 4 stars to 5 stars after a major storm ripped through our area. Our sturdy more expensive dog house managed to lose it's roof. Though this one traveled a few feet it was perfectly intact and our dog was sheltering from the storm just fine.

Very Happy
Updated: I have used this house for all kinds of animals, pretty much everything except for dogs. My five star review stands because even after severe abuse that it is clearly NOT meant to withstand (goats climbing up and standing on the roof, hogs coming through the door so hard that the front basically rips off, with very little effort, the house can STILL be assembled and still provides dry shelter. In addition, I had to contact customer service regarding some missing small parts. The service was fast, friendly, and my parts were sent to me no questions asked in less than a week. Excellent customer service! Original review: I purchased this product to house a pair of geese, not for dogs. As mentioned in one or two other reviews, the initial reaction pulling the pieces out of the box is that the plastic is flimsy. I had two pieces already cracked when I got it. The floor and roof were both a pain in the butt to assemble (I was doing it by myself) but everything else snapped right together. Once fully assembled the house is very sturdy. We have had several torrential rains since I assembled this. I did not stake them down (stakes are not included) and despite high winds the house did not move (it is pretty heavy) and the inside remained very dry. There are vinyl panels included that go on very easily, and the letters for putting your pet's name are really cute. Fully assembled, this house is weather resistant, sturdy but easy to move, and looks nice in the yard and will keep your pet dry. Very happy with this purchase.

Great Dog House - and I have a big/destructive dog!
I read the previous reviews AFTER ordering this dog house and was very worried about my purchase. But honestly I was shocked how WRONG a lot of the reviews were in my opinion. My dog is an 80lb shepherd who is OUT OF CONTROL, lol, he's a great dog but he is very large and is still a puppy so very hyper and he destorys...well... everything!!!!! and not only does he LOVE his dog house, but he has not been able to destroy it like others in their reviews mentioned. He's jumped on it and pushed it and its still stand there just fine. It's basically made of thick plastic so it "seems" flimsy when you take it out of the box but once its snapped together it is quite sturdy. The first time I put it together it did seem flimsy then I realize a couple of the snaps were not fully in place, once I corrected that I have NO complains on its durability. It is hallow, as far ss no insolation so I got a dog mat for inside and put a blanket inside but he'd rather sleep in it empty as he pulls all the bedding out every time I turn around... Over all I think its a great dog house and worth the money!!!

Great looking, easy to assemble doghouse
Easy to put together. Looks nice. Good space for my 65 lb greyhound. She’s tall so she has to crouch a bit to fit through the door but it’s really spacious inside. Took off the vinyl door covers - seemed to bother her getting in and poking her head out of the door. Time will tell how it holds up outdoors
