Work pretty good easy to punch thru hose

Perfect. Easy to use, made a perfect sized hole. The other tool was extremely helpful to push in adapter into the hole.

The punch works as advertised on 1/2" tubing. The insertion tool only works on straight barbed plugs and can't be used for anything else such as a barbed tee. I wish there were a recess for any of the possible 1/4" fittings. No matter, with severe wrist problems, I had to figure out a way to connect 1/4" tubing onto any connector. Tubing is stiff, so the trick is heat just the very end of the tubing with a hairdryer on hot for just a few seconds and it slips right on. If you heat more than 1/4" at the end tubing it will buckle and permanently deform. Wetting the barbed connector lubes the process too.

this tool set takes the trouble out of attaching drip lines to supply piping, making easy to perform punctures in the 5/8OD plastic pipe and using the second tool for easily inserting 1/4" fittings into those punctures. my fingers and hands are thankful!

Good basic product and prompt delivery

This 2-in-1 drip irrigation punch set technically works — but just barely. The hole punch does function, but it’s not as sharp or sturdy as it should be. I had to apply more pressure than expected just to get a clean hole in standard tubing. The real letdown? I tried using the back end of the handle to install a drip emitter (as advertised), and the plastic deformed before the emitter even went in. Pretty frustrating when you’re trying to set up a system and end up wrestling with a flimsy tool instead. It’s okay in a pinch or for small projects, but if you’re doing more than a few emitters, I’d recommend spending a few extra bucks for something sharper, stronger, and more reliable.

Hole punch does not make a clean hole and I end up using a cheaper and simpler punch to complete the hole

The irrigation tubing hole punch works really well on the regular rigid black irrigation pipes. It doesn't work quite as well on Flexi tubes, but that's to be expected. Putting in a 4mm barbed joiner for a sprinkler into the irrigation pipe is much easier with this tool too and saves my hands from pain and struggle. This tool is a must have for any novice or experienced gardener that installs or maintains their own irrigation tubes and sprinkler/drip system.

The handle operated punch created one hole and then wouldn’t cut any more. The manual punch works fine.
