*ANOTHER 5 STAR RATING HERE!!
Search and Rescue aux lighting is a must, dependability is Job 1. During SAR OP's it's a bad day or night for person(s) needing emergency assistance be it a downed AC, a missing/lost hiker with injuries. This is where the dependability comes into the picture when performing a pre-flight inspection on an AC. Often inspections are perform at night outside of a hanger where a dependable flashlight is a must checking flight surfaces, engine compartment etc. Having a dependable, functional flashlight with a proper light pattern (no dark spots) is key and a tremendous asset. It's yellow making it a cinch to locate if misplace. I own many Streamlight flashlights, headlamps and aux lightning. To date not one Streamlight has failed me. I pack this same Streamlight in my POV and on my person while camping, hunting, walking my four legged friend. This particular lamp is the latest addition to my Streamlight family. I'm very pleased with it's operation, works perfectly just as the other Streamlights I own. It's already been put to the extreme test in an unpleasant environment under harsh conditions. The (Streamlight 68750 Dualie 3AA Dual Beam Flashlight 140 lumen spot beam and 140 lumen downward beam is reasonably price, having a well constructed rugged exterior with easy to locate functional switches during low light/dark conditions, is water resistant with a light weight tough polymer body and very easy to locate by it's bright safety yellow color. The properly sized hinged clasp is very handy when attaching to a shirt/jacket pocket or belt for hands free operation. Light output isn't overly bright but don't let that hinder you in purchasing one of these great overall lamps. Those that are familiar with dependable handheld lighting know this model is perfect for close up inspection of equipment, lighting a confined area, handy to grab out of a kitchen drawer for emergency lighting around the house during a power outage, even packing one in your emergency kit for the auto is a must. Works great at night going for a stroll walking Fido. Effective at lighting a dimly lit pathway with ease. I generally carry 2-3 flashlights at night, typically a high lumen blinding lamp, another in the 600-800 lumen range and the one in this review. Works great when walking/hiking, I'll switch both lamps on then secure it to my jacket pocket or vest using the long and wide hinged clasp so the wider beam shines outward and tight beam shoots straight down, making it highly effective covering such a large area directly in front and outward of your feet and wider pattern with coverage close to 180 degrees outward. Having both lamps on, directed down and outward is very effective while walking easily seen by in-coming traffic at the same time not overly bright that it blinds a motorist. I highly recommend this lamp with it's many uses! Lt JGF USAF Aux. Emergency Services/Air Search and Rescue

(see update) Possibly the best general purpose flashlight in the world, but....
I was in the market for a simple and reliable general purpose flashlight. One with a straightforward on and off switch (not one with a half dozen modes), and one that is tough and water proof. This light more than fits the bill. It’s really two flashlights in one. The spot beam allows for momentary on, with a light press of the switch, or constant on, with a firm click of the switch. The flood beam is click on only, and is perfect for working up close, when you want wide and even coverage. With the reputation of Streamlight, toughness and reliability is a given. The flashlight is mostly sleek, and as advertised, the clip doesn’t snag. I say “mostly” sleek, because the eyelet/lug at the lens cap (which is designed as part of the locking mechanism for a different model) could potentially snag. I wish they would have eliminated it on this model since it serves no purpose. The flashlight is comfortable to hold, easy to operate (no multi modes), light weight, and at 7 inches long it’s small enough to easily fit in a glovebox, drawer, or coat pocket. The spot beam is sufficient for most general purpose uses. I was under the house the other day and the spot beam provided practical useable light out to about 25 feet (probably a bit beyond, but that’s the length of the space I was working in), the flood beam offer significantly less useful distance (maybe 8 ft). I was so impressed with the first flashlight, that I ordered five more. I've replaced all the flashlights in my house and vehicles. I then ordered two additional flashlights to give as gifts. And, will likely order more for gifts in the future. There are cheaper flashlights on the market, but I’m a firm believer in, "You get what you pay for." When the time comes that I need a flashlight, I want to know I have a flashlight that will work. And, with Energizer AA Lithium Batteries (which I purchased separately on Amazon), this flashlight is going to be ready and reliable even if it sits idle for 19 years (the lithium batteries boast a 20 year shelf life). Update Aug 2022: I'm still very happy with these lights! Combined with the lithiums I've not had to replace any of the batteries. I use them every so often, as one might expect. I've referred these lights to several friends who have then purchased one or two. Hey, Streamlight - do you need an ambassador? I'll be happy to entertain an offer.

THE BEST OF THE BEST !!! 100% Satisfaction, Just works where others fail
I live in a VERY corrosive environment with moisture, sea are, salt, etc. EVERY flashlight has corroded and/or the batteries have corroded in under a year leading failures or battery leakage due to battery failure. This is the FIRST flashlight I have had that does not fail. Most people buy these flashlights because they are safe from starting a fire or explosion. I bought it so it does not fail due to corrosion and wear and tear. Now the details I love: 1. Perfect size, uses three AA's excellent for hand grip (grip is very very good) and the balance in the hand is pefect. MADE IN USA....really excellent, great quality. 2. Two perfectly placed light sources. The main front beam which can turn on with a click of one of the bottoms OR you can gently press it for instant on/off cycling by not clicking it all the way through. The other light faces down to the ground and has a very diffused beam with no bright or dim spots.....like a big perfect circle on the ground and it just overlaps the main (and very intense) column beam. 3. Bright yellow easy to find in dim light. 4. Excellent clip if need to put on cloths. 5. *** Has not failed in any way since using, no corrosion - My biggest win for my location. I can count on this working. My buttons all failed gradually on the other flashlights. Sometime they would work, sometimes they would not. I had to open them up, sand and scrape contacts of the battery touch points, etc. This one is certified as sealed, hence inherently safe stamp. 6. Again the light quality is just excellent, beam is not to thin or too spread on the main....no need for adjustment - I feel it is the perfect size and the separate LED facing the floor is super wide, think very broad flood light as I said before. Love this dual design. Mostly use the main beam, but when unsure of footing I kick in the wide spread out beam. 7. I liked this so much I bought several. Getting more now that I tested it. One on bedside table, one in main office, one in car, one in utility room. In closing, this is just such a well built and thought out light. Thank you to the manufacturer....you must have really tested and improved this. PLEASE keep building in the USA, I can tell the quality is outstanding in just a few seconds of use vs. chinese made lights I have owned (many)...all of which failed in a multitude of ways. Do not hesitate to buy this or buy several and thank you to Amazon for making this a Prime item.

The best design and quality; highly recommend!
I’ve been using this flashlight a lot over the past 5-6 months, and it’s super good, for multiple purposes. The balance point between offering intense brightness and using ordinary batteries that last a long time is just right with this light. Hallelujah! It’s very bright, uses easy and ergonomic one-click on/off, and the forward light beam is usefully well-balanced between long focus and some wide illumination. At the same time, the regular alkaline batteries are lasting a longer time than any other flashlight I’ve used that’s equally bright, and almost all less bright ones I have. It doesn’t overheat, either. There are separate batteries for the forward light, which takes 2 AA’s, and 1 AA battery for the side light. That saves batteries too. I use the side light a lot more than I thought I would. The wider focus of the side light’s beam means it works well as a lantern in a dark room or tent, and it’s excellent for illuminating the ground by your feet when you’re dog-walking or tramping down stairs in a power outage. You can use the two lights together or separately. The bright yellow plastic casing means I don’t lose this flashlight. It is very comfortable to hold, doesn’t roll around, has a super great clip, and stashes well in a big pocket/purse. I don’t like plastic very much, but this light’s sturdy plastic is actually aesthetically pleasing to hold, and the lighter than metal weight keeps the balance in the hand very comfortable, especially in longer usages. It’s perfect for dog-walking, camping, finding your way in the dark or finding those teeny invisible things dropped on the floor, and is reliable as a super sturdy, indestructible extreme emergency light. I don’t usually rave about flashlights, but I am truly loving this Dualie light for its super high quality, sturdy build, well-thought out design, reliability in extreme situations, and especially the perfect balance between long regular battery life and excellent brightness. Not to mention it’s an American company. You know how great you feel when you get a really top notch and reliable product? And you want to tell your friends about it? And you appreciate the company that made it? That’s how I feel about this flashlight. Worth every penny.

Best flashlight ever.
The. Best. Flashlight. Ever. Made. I've always been fascinated with flashlights. Some may say obsessed, but I say perfection is always a noble quest. I've tried all sorts of flashlights and this one really has the most utility for the money. There are no modes. Just on and off. No mad button pushing or fumbling around trying to stop the SOS flash so you can see. In the rain. While changing a tire. I digress. This bad boy has two modes. On and off. On is powerful and bright. Off is not. No in-betweens. No ons then offs then ons then offs. Just ons and offs. It takes AA batteries. Which are easy to find. No special charger needed. No fancy-schmancy battery that costs more than the light. It is bright, flourescent yellow. It is hard to lose, even in a camper. It's got a lanyard loop for a lanyard if it's your first sleep away camp, too. You could put badges on the lanyard with the flashlight. Wait. It isn't a lanyard loop at all, it's a big, sturdy, alligator clip with teeth like this that hold it in your pocket like a champ. A frikkin champion, man. Just rechecked and it's got BOTH the lanyard loop for sleepaway camp badges and the integrated, spring-loaded clip. Awesome. Did I mention real, actual water resistance? No rice required, pal. Also, it is rugged and sturdy which means it is ok if you drop it a few times like a careless person. And oh yeah, it has two LEDs. Each with it's own on and off switch, to minimize confusion as mentioned earlier. Why two? One is aimed forward, like a normal tube flashlight. The other points down. At your feet. So you don't trip, or blind other people like an inconsiderate people blinding, idiot-moron who has never before been in the dark. You may occasionally blind yourself, however, as you grow used to this small, useful innovation. So, quick recap-Strong lights, simple controls, common battery, water proof and an innovative design. Buy two because someone will steal the first one.

Solid light, solid design definitely worth the money
Overall build quality 4.5 of 5. The only build concern I have are the power buttons. They feel a little under built compared to the rest of the device. This is literally the only concern I have. The clip is sturdy with good spring retention and sturdy plastic. I have no doubt it will withstand normal use. Performance: Very bright main spot in a great sized light. The flood light is surprisingly useful. I thought a bit of a novelty when I purchased but I find myself using it as much as the main spot. Battery Compartment: Little odd, may take some getting used to, but functional and doesn’t require instructions to make the light work. Use: This light has replaced my previous bedside light and was a mainstay during a recent camping trip with my family. This dual use design seems obvious to me now but I’m amazed it took this long.

Near perfect light
I now have three of these lights. They are our go to flashlights, for daily and emergency use. First the flood and spot are plenty bright. Battery life seems very good and there is no parasitic draw. The light is easy to use and the separate two buttons helps keep it simple. Size is perfect for a night stand, car glove box or the junk drawer most of us have. Being shock resistant, IP67 water and dust proof along with its size and light weight make it a great travel light. Purchase when on sale and then the price point is very reasonable for the quality you receive.

Great Light
This is a great overall light. I would definitely recommend. The light has two functions and a switch for each. The standard light is bright and works great in a dark backyard. The area light is perfect for inside a dark room or anywhere you might need a wide light. Everyone needs a couple of these.

Great quality and smart design...
This flashlight isn't cheap and the reason is because it's well made and has a great design. IMO it's well worth what you pay. I particularly like the following... - It uses AA batteries - The dual light design is brilliant - It's an on/off light basically and avoids the potentially annoying 'clicky' nature of most modern flash lights that require multiple presses to get to the mode you actually want to use. I like and prefer a simple flashlight. - The bright colour ensures it's easy to find in the dark and highly visible if you drop it on the ground. Again, smart. - The size is perfect for a general-purpose home flashlight and it's a great size for the vehicle. In a nut shell I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a well made, intelligently designed, and reliable flashlight. Perfect for a bugout bag, vehicle, or for home use.
