Fit like a glove...simply perfect and affordable

Fantastic value
It looks just as well made as the OEM filter, and seems to work just as well. My only concern is it seems to weigh a half pound less then the OEM filter it replaced which makes me think it has less charcoal in it. It’s also possible my older filter just had enough dust in it to make it that much heavierEither way it is a significant value over the OEM one which gets expensive fast, especially if you have multiple air purifiers.

Does not fit tight enough, worthless
I installed this filter and ran it for weeks. We noticed dust in our living and dining room today. So after inspecting the unit we noticed that this filter does not fit tight around the sides when installed in the Alen purifier. So dust gets sucked around the edge and not filtered. The exhaust grid on top of the Alen unit was coated in dust, so nothing was getting filtered! The original Alen filter fits tight when installed, so no leakage.

Not the same as the ones from the manufacturer
The product is attractive at a price point but we bought one from Durabasics and one from Alen to compare. Firstly I will say that the Durabasics does work as it filters the air (we could see over time the build up of air dust on the filter. However we did notice that the filter doesn't sit as snuggly or have a full seal as the Alen ones. Effectively what happens is that the filter never turned blue and ran continuously between moderate and high power (basically it would reduce the lifespan of the machine itself). Made multiple attempts to reseat and to try to adjust but we just wound up ripping out the Durabasic filter in favor of the Alen.Anyone for a barely used 2 week old Durabasic filter?
