Don’t be so quick to notice its roots (or lack there of).
So I waited a month. Several people immediately took their delivery and bopped it out of its soil and complained it wasn’t rooted. Well I left mine how it came. It was wiggly on the soil on arrival, confirming what others said. I did something different though. I left it alone. It came in good shape and I left it that way. I left the shredded paper on it as well. I just watered it. It’s sitting above one of my aquariums so it has some humidity, and I have fed it a little bit at the 2 week mark because I wasn’t sure what the soil was that it’s sitting in. It’s growing. It’s also not wiggly anymore which means its roots are coming in fine. I ordered another pot for it, and plan to try to do a bonsai scenery with it. If you order one of these…just let it grow some. That’s my advice. Don’t rip it straight out of the pot it comes in.

Precious Cargo
OMG, I am SO beyond giddy and overwhelmed with happiness upon the arrival of my little baby that I’ve been dreaming about for 6wks after seeing one at a local nursery that got sold when I went back to buy her. The care the team took with packing my precious cargo, I mean seriously, they went above and beyond to cocoon to ensure she’d arrive safely and dirt still moist. My heart is full and will definitely think of California Tropicals in mind for future prized babies. I had a “talk” with my dieffenbachia to make sure she knew she had a new sibling, not a rival lol. Thank you team for your care and consideration packing my baby up!!

Healthy and beautiful plant
I had never tried keeping a Ming Aralia before but when I saw this variegated beauty I wanted to give it a try. It arrived healthy and in great condition. I have had it for about a month and it is doing well. I repotted it into a peat, perlite, compost and bark mix to encourage faster drainage. I covered the top of the soil with moss. It looks beautiful and is growing well so far.

It did not look like the picture when it arrived...
I ordered a varigated Ming Aralia which is not available where I live on the east coast. This poor plant travelled from coast to coast. Took 7 days. The packaging was excellent - it arrived healthy and undamaged. It did not look even remotely full and lush as the picture. I've had it for a few months and it's growing slowly - still nowhere near the lush plant that was pictured. The price was reasonable but still.... As long as you don't mind waiting a couple of years for it to grow enough to resemble the picture, go for it.
