Will this be effective since I air dry my hair?

As someone who was introduced to this product and have used it for more then ten years you can air dry if you would like. It helps the hair form taking on tons of moisture. So you don’t have bozo the clown look. It is more of a sleek Shirley Temple look to it for the most part, it isn’t crunchy or has a gel like fee to it at all. It is more like a serum going on and then you can’t tell it just blends in!

Why should you not apply to roots? i have short hair, so that would be difficult not to do.

Probably because it would make your hair unmanageable. If you use just a small amt I wouldn’t worry about it getting on roots.
