They’re just another style choice. I personally find them more comfortable to wear than the tapers or the solid plugs with the o-rings.

what material?.. it turned my ears bright red to the point they'd burn i needed to go to a legit hospital. don't buy these

i don’t know the material, but i will say i had no issues with them at all. you could be allergic, but when i stretched my ears they did turn red because they were swollen from sizing up. it quickly went back to normal though

Great for a starter kit or if you took out your gauges and wanted to start over. Has everything you need to get started, good quality, and O-rings have held up nicely

Awesome product but size fluctuates

These are amazing! They have so far worked perfectly for beginning my gauges. Easy to use, love that it has extra little o rings. I just had normal size piercings and was able to go from the 14 to an 8 in about 2 weeks. They leave perfectly sized holes and I’m literally impressed with the quickness I was able to move up in size. I do have one small complaint, but it’s not like it matters a whole lot. At least not right now. I have only noticed this on the 8’s so far, but one was slightly bigger than the other one. The smaller one seemed to be about the same size as the 10. I haven’t gone to a 6 to see if it matters yet though but that would be my only small complaint. Otherwise these are great!
