Great pre workout or just a little Caffeine pick me up. The flavor is yummy and it blends well. On the sweet side, like I prefer!

This product works great for someone who wants an energy boosts before workouts but doesn’t enjoy the traditional side effects associated with pre-workouts. I have tried a variety of brands and pre-workouts over the years but had trouble becoming loyal to one product. I’ve now been consistently using Essential Amino Energy for about half a year and never felt the need to stray. By evaluating it on its: effectiveness, taste, and price, I regard it as the best value pre-workouts I’ve encountered. Effectiveness As a pre-workout, this provides consistent energy without bringing on the twitching sensation that many other pre-workouts are known to. It tends to be most effective when drank about 30 minutes before starting a workout. The caffeine kicks in subtly, giving you gradual sensation of focus and heightened awareness. So by the time you’re starting to workout, you get that “in the zone” mentality a lot of people look for in a pre-workout. The effects of a regular serving tend to wear off within 1-2 hours. The lower dosage of caffeine makes it easier to come down from if you’re someone who works out at night and doesn’t want to have trouble falling asleep. Taste While the energy and amino acids provided is effective, it’s the taste of this product that impressed me the most. Other pre-workouts can have a very artificially sweet taste that is hard to enjoy. Someone with a sensitive stomach like myself may also find that this doesn’t give them a stomach ache like other pre-workouts might. While I’ve only tried three flavors, I’ve enjoyed all of them. Peach Tea: Someone who has a sweet tooth would likely enjoy this one as it tastes exactly like a gummy peach candy. Blueberry Mojito: This is also very candy-like, with a similar taste to a cotton candy sucker. Pineapple: This flavor is not as strong as the other two, as it provides a more subtle tangy taste. It’d be a good option for someone who doesn’t prefer things too sweet. Price Compared to other pre-workouts, this is likely one of the least expensive you’ll find. Other pre-workouts tend to cost around 30 to 40 dollars compared to 19 dollars for this. The fact that it also doubles as a dosage of BCAAs is only adds to its value. Overall, this would be a good option for someone new to taking energy supplements for working out, or just someone who doesn’t enjoy the effects of traditional, highly-caffeinated pre-workouts.

I don't know how effective supplements like this really are, but it gives me energy and has a good flavor. It doesn't get gritty if you stick with 2 scoops (one serving) per 16~ ounces (a bottle of water is usually 16.9 or so). I wouldn't say it hydrates you more - caffeine is a diuretic. I don't consume anything else, but I always find myself returning to this when I crave energy.

I've been using this product for 7 years now and I've always had a good experience. I usually get the acai berry, as i enjoy a more mild, less sweet flavor and that one is perfect for me. I got the blueberry mojito this time (30 serving size) and I love it. Very similar to the acai berry in that its not overly sweet and has a mild flavor, which i prefer because i can use 2 scoops without it being overwhelmingly strong. I don't personally get this for the energy aspect of it, but i feel like if that's what you're looking for it does a pretty good job, depending on your sensitivity to caffeine. And i love that i don't get the jitters or crashes afterwards as well. I use this for muscle recovery, retention and growth and i feel like it works well and is a good price point. My only knock is that i used to buy this product in the 60 serving size for $35 and i feel like this size is just so small and thw container does come less than halfway full, but that's inflation i suppose... overall i definitely recommend!

Great pre workout, smooth and savory, doesn’t give you that crash out after a couple hours like the energy drinks, would greatly recommend if you’re caffeine sensitive but still need that extra boost

I’ve been using Optimum Nutrition Amino Energy for a few months now, and it’s become a staple in my fitness routine. The energy boost it provides is noticeable but not overwhelming — perfect for a pre-workout pick-me-up or an afternoon energy lift without the jitters.

I’ve been looking for something to give me an energy boost throughout the day so I’ll be sul energized at the end of day for my workout, This taste very good maybe just a little sweet but not overly. I do not feel a difference in energies but at least as I add it to my bottle of water it helps me drink more.

I absolutely love this product. I use my ninja mixer to make a blended drink with it- I mix the quantity of powder (1 to 4 scoops) with ice and Prime Lemonade to may a very tasty blended drink, and it is GOOD.
