I normally have a cup of coffee when I wake up and two cups of green tea over the course of the day. I purchased these with the intent of finding an alternative to drinking coffee. I even wasted an extra 13 bucks on expedited shipping from the UK. I did not expect any kind of extraordinary energy jolt, as with an energy drink or supplement, just something that would allow me to skip my coffee if I was in a hurry, or better yet, enjoy a steadier stream of caffeine at a lower level, in he hopes for a more constant wakefulness. The first time I tried it, I had my morning coffee, but skipped my tea and threw this on at around 11am, when I usually have my first cup of tea. I did not really feel at a loss for the tea right away, but neither did I feel anything beyond my 'baseline', and by 1pm I was very tired. I wondered if there was any effect at all, but since I had my morning joe, there was no headache or caffeine withdrawal. The second day, I tried it in place of the coffee. By 11am, I was miserable and I even added a second patch at the same time. By 1pm I had a caffeine withdrawal headache and felt very groggy, and by 3pm I gave in and had half a cup of coffee. I'm not bothering sacrificing my well being to give this snake oil patch a third strike. It's basically a band-aid material square with adhesive on the back. Let this be a warning if you're considering this.
