Is this product safe to use on 8mm and 16mm film

Yes, it is, BUT ....it can dissolve the splicing adhesive if long exposure to PEC-12.

How do i use this? Just spray (i had the spray one) and wipe?

use a soft clean cloth, their wipes, Pec Pads work well....I don't think I've ever sprayed directly on to area to be cleaned

Can this be used with a microfiber cloth instead of pec pads to clean a black and white print?

Yes! I use cotton swabs and small cotton balls. Small pieces of cloth cut from an old white t-shirt are great for this. I would not use synthetic fiber cloth. Work in small areas at first and don’t use too much PEC, it may result in stain or the movement of the cloth over the photo surface may appear.

Professioneller Reiniger für Negative – zuverlässig und effektiv

PEC-12 erfüllt seinen Zweck voll und ganz. Es lässt sich sehr gut verarbeiten, ist ergiebig und sorgt bei sachgemäßer Anwendung für ein hervorragendes Reinigungsergebnis. Ich verwende es hauptsächlich zur Reinigung von Negativfilmstreifen – das Resultat überzeugt auf ganzer Linie. Trotz der Lösungsmittelbasis ist das Arbeiten damit bei guter Belüftung problemlos auch über einen längeren Zeitraum möglich. Ideal für alle, die analoge Filmstreifen gründlich und materialschonend reinigen möchten. Ein zuverlässiges Spezialprodukt, das in keinem Archivierungs- oder Digitalisierungs-Workflow fehlen sollte.

Pulisce a fondo

L’ho preso per pulire i negativi che presentavo delle macchie di non so quale materiale forse muffa o colla. Magicamente sono venute via con pochi passaggi. L’importante è non insistere troppo nella pulizia senza forzare la mano altrimenti si finisce per graffiare il negativo. Paragonato all’alcool isopropilico puro al 99.9% che ho in casa questo vince a mani basse. Certo visto il costo consiglio per una pulizia generale di passare con l’alcool isopropilico e per lo sporco più ostinato il pec-12. Ovviamente con le salviette pec-pad.
