Buyer beware. Lookto the one percent reviews before buying on impulse
For awhile it work, till it started leaking after one use. What on earth is the manufacturing company doing ? Are they taking shortcuts on their work? In any case it took awhile but I finally got my money back.

Not For Every House
Be sure this injection mist humidifier can work for you. Injection Mist Humidifiers caused standing water in my duct work, caused duct corrosion - even with galvanized metal ducts-, and water leaked through pin hole corrosion in the duct. My injector was within the installation distances - but the injector was still too close to surfaces where the humidified air water re-condensed - just as if a pair of eyeglasses placed above a pot of boiling water will cause water to condense on the cooler glass surface. I wish someone told me to be careful of this before water damaged furniture and replacement of ducts were need years latter.

Whole house Humidifier
Works well for a few years but then can malfunction and leak into your furnace. Had to have mine replaced.

Easy to install, better than drum type humidifiers
I love this humidifier. Very simple to install - Took me about 3 hours to do and the hardest part was cutting through the ducts. You just want to make sure you have a nearby water supply and a nearby power supply for it. Not as bulky as the drum type humidifiers, it doesn't require constantly caring for the drum foam thing, and the mist it creates is so fine one would swear is cold steam. You need to be careful the first few days though to make sure the level of humidity you're generating is adequate and not excessive - if it's excessive it will quickly clog your filters and make your furnace over work, which i turn will result in more humidity released and it will start dripping. Check the filter closely and adjust the humidity in the dial accordingly. Also make sure you install it following every step of the instructions or you may end up installing in the wrong place or directing the mist at the heat sensor.I would highly recomend it, it will cost slightly more than a drum type humidifier but once you add up other installation costs and the drum maintenance, you'll be happy you bought this one.

Third unit, third house!
As long as I can find this unit, I'll install it in every house or apartment I live in. Make sure you use a gasket to seal it good and check once a year to unclog the nozzle by dipping it in C-L-R, and back to as-new condition.

DO NOT USE!!!! Can destroy your A/C coil and mold your ducts!
I initially wrote this review as I was starting to do repairs caused by this product. Once started, the damage turned out to be much more extensive than anticipated. It cost me $500 in new ducting materials and three 12 hour days of my labor to repair what this product did to my HVAC system. I have updated this review based on that experience.I have had one installed for three years and just ripped it out. I am also cleaning rust from and repainting the steel parts of my evaporator coil, and replacing the moldy insulation lining the evaporator case, replaced my fiberglass lined plenum and my metal plenums all of which were difficult and time consuming jobs. The problem is the Thermo-Mist water bleed stone sprays too much water into the ducts and they stay moist. This is especially true at the end of the cycle, when the furnace fan turns off and all that water is left hanging in the ducts with no place to go but to settle into the ducting and atop the evaporator coil. In the entire air system, the only things not damaged were the plastic flex duct, which did not provide a place for mold growth, but I did find small pools of stagnant water which I had to clean out from those. Fortunately the furnace was below the evaporator coil, as in most systems, and itself was spared, but I did have to clean out all the rust particles which had settled into it from the rusty plenum above. I still have on my schedule to clean out the rust particles from the blower fan housings where they also settled. Another day of my time doing clean out. A contractor installed humidifier is a good deal less expensive than a contractor replaced evaporator (evaporators contain refrigerant, impossible to change yourself unless you happen to have an EPA 608 permit). If you have one of these already, turn it off and disconnect the water line NOW, and remove it ASAP.If I could give this product negative stars, I would gladly do so. It works, but at far too high a long term cost.

The unit itself works well, but it does not ...
The unit itself works well, but it does not put enough humidity in the air. I have it set to maximum time, but our humidity levels are still too low.
