I tried it before and it worked better, this time the result was bad

It was expensive than other products, but it claimed that tablet inside tank will last for about 45 days. So i ordered it. But the tablet dissolved completely after a week. Same happened with both tablets in the packet. Useless to spend more money on iron out tablets. Waste of money. Better to buy from other cheap brands with same results.

Works good. However, on bad stains in tank, clean very good first either the spray Iron Off. Good maintenance product.

Nothing special. Just another tablet.

We have a summer house on the Delaware. I replaced the bathroom and installed a new toilet. I added a chlorine-based toilet tank drop-in mostly to stop mold build up in the tank that has always been a problem. The house is served by a shallow 10' water well about 50' from the river. Within a day the toilet tank and bowl started developing a dark rusty stain that was difficult to clean. Turns out the chlorine-based tank drop-in was interacting with the iron in the water causing staining in the bowl. I removed the chlorine-based drop in and replaced it with IRON OUT toilet tank drop-in tablet. The directions on the box said it could take a while for the tablet to work. About a half-hour later I returned with Bar Keepers Friend to clean the toilet mineral stains and the staining had already faded and was almost gone with IRON-OUT, just a light yellowish-brown stain. I left it alone and returned an hour later and the toilet and tank were a pristine white. The drop-in tablet lasted about 10 weeks this summer before I had to replace it. And the IRON OUT also prevented mold and mildew from growing in the tank. The house is a seasonal house on the river that we own and used by my sons and sisters and their families. It was mostly the ick factor that I was concerned about with the mineral staining in the toilet. I know a water softener would work but it would be just another item to winterize. I purchased a few more packs of IRON-OUT and it is all I use now. I purchased this in 2019 and still use it to this date 6/2022. Works really good on iron staining in the tss as no and bowl.
