I’ve been using a bug relief zapper that I’d purchased from boots previously. It seemed to take the edge off initially, but would make the itching worse. I didn’t want to spend the money on this device and it not work, however, it’s insane. I place the device on the bite and press the button once. It zaps the bite for three seconds and it’s rather intense. To begin with, the pain is unbearable and something you just need to come to terms with, because this device is the only thing that truly works for my bites. After using it a few times the pain is not that bad, but I would definitely NOT recommend for children. I’d had persistent, very large, itchy bites for 5 days. After using this, they were gone overnight.

I never leave reviews as I’m lazy, but I have to say this thing is incredible. I get bitten badly and in peak season, daily. Nothing works to stop the bites completely and until now I’ve never found anything to stop the itching. With bad bites, I’m often up in the night due to itching and being uncomfortable. However, that’s about to change as this thing arrived today and it works instantly. It does get hot and can feel uncomfortable, but the discomfort stops instantly after the 3 seconds is up and it’s well worth it to stop itching and pain for days

Works better than any relief cream

i think its almost perfect for relieving the itch. but be wary if you scratch the area a lot, this will still be effective but not completely remove the itch. when i applied on fresh bites, the itch totally disappeared. its pretty painful for me at least but its worth it, the heat is only for few seconds then it immediately calms down after, the relief is pretty much instant. i would buy this if you are struggling with mosquito bite definitely

Not sure how this is suitable for children when my husband and I cannot handle the burning/stinging of the heating head ourselves! Wish I could return this but missed the refund window.

Not working and amazon refuse to return, buy only if it is fine for you to lose the money if it is defective

Voor mij werkt het. Veilig in gebruik, zelfs als het een gevoel geeft van verbranden veroorzaakt het geen brandwonden of enig letsel. Soms is enkele keren na elkaar behandelen nodig, maar dan blijft de jeuk permanent of langere tijd weg. Veel efficiënter dan dure zalfjes en gel die geen soelaas brengen. Tip! Bestel een familiepak. ;-)

Bought this following a horrendous holiday near Lake Garda where our resort was infested with mosquitoes. Used it this year in Mallorca (where the friendly bat population did a fantastic job of keeping mosquito numbers right down). The product works really well. Following a bite you switch it on, put it at the point of the bite, and press the button. A searing pinpoint of heat can be felt (uncomfortable but not unbearable) for a few seconds. Following that the itch stops almost immediately. One thing to note was that 3 of 4 of us found it excellent. My son complained that it made matters worse, but I believe he may have been bitten by ants rather than mosquitoes, and the tool is specifically designed to counter the proteins that mosquitoes “inject” when they bite.

Cet appareil va changer mes étés! Je l’ai acheté après avoir été piquée par des moustiques et ne souhaitant pas réitérer l’été passé où mes piqûres ont fortement gonflées, étaient très urticantes et laissaient des cicatrices. Ça a eu un effet incroyable, alors que j’étais un peu hésitante sur le réel effet que ça pouvait avoir. Je n’ai pu l’utiliser que le lendemain des piqures, et je ne l’ai utilisé que quelques fois sur la journée, et tout de suite, la piqûre ne me démangeait presque plus et a rétréci. J’ai continué quelques jours et ça ne m’a plus du tout gratté! J’ai toujours des petites cicatrices, mais ça enlève tout à fait l’effet « grattant/gonflant » pour moi. Mais la cerise sur le gâteau, j’ai été piquée aujourd’hui par un frelon asiatique (vraiment douloureux), et après une heure sous la glace pour apaiser la forte douleur, j’ai pensé à cet appareil. Lisant que la chaleur pouvait aider pour le venin, je l’ai utilisé plusieurs fois par heures, sur le setting 2, pendant plusieurs heures après la piqûre. Ça a eu un effet vraiment net : la piqûre a diminué énormément en taille et le venin semble avoir cessé de se répandre en une large zone. La douleur a diminué de manière conséquente. Je suis vraiment impressionnée. La piqûre est maintenant toute petite, quelques heures plus tard. Je pense que c’est un des meilleurs investissements à faire pour une tranquillité d’esprit en vacances. La légère douleur de la chaleur est complètement supportable, et est même bienvenue face à la piqûre qui fait davantage mal. Je le recommande vivement ! J’aurai aimé connaître ça plus tôt.

Its a bit of a burn/sting. I'm not sure little kids would mange the pain? But honestly this little device has been life changing for someone who ends up being the target of every bite. On occasion you might need to zap it a second time in a couple of days, but for the most part you'll stop scratching yourself til you bleed.
