Great, sturdy gait belt
The belt is well made. It's nice and wide and supportive. We use it for our program for people with Parkinson’s Disease with balance issues. The handles are excellent-well placed and easy to grab when needed. The only issue we have is the clip can be difficult for them to close- But that being said, it's never come apart and seems to be strong.

This thing is cool
Ive used this belt as a lift aid for me as well as I use it today 2 years later which is mostly used by my phys therapist as a gait belt when I ditch my walker. I dont know if Ive used it for help in and out of vehicles so cant speak to that but its sturdy and comfortable. Handles are well placed and secure. If you are looking for a utilitarian tool, this might be it. Im currently about 128lbs (down from like 138) and my waist is smaller but its adjustable by me no problem and easy for me to put on myself. Each therapist that has seen me wear it and used it themselves are impressed by it. My self-transfers and stability have greatly improved in 2 yrs and I attribute a lot of that to using this belt a lot early on and reducing its need over time. Ive never tried it but Im sure you could wear this around your chest, under your arms if you needed a lift that way after a fall and it would be comfy and secure during that time. This is way better than those standard gait belts that are made of a strip of cloth and have metal buckles that are hard to deal with without aid. Try it.

Pretty good
The belt worked well with one or more people assisting. I think it is easier to feel more stable and secure than the belts without handles. Occasionally, it could be difficult to get the correct angle with he loops and the smallest size of the belt was still a bit large as we tried to tighten it for more secure use.

Wonderful!.
The wider, sift design with multiple handles reduce the risk of rib pain and increase comfort and patient security during transfers and ambulation. My adult daughter had a stroke. In comparison, the canvas belts would hurt her ribs, and the narrow design without any hand holds made it much more difficult on the caregiver. Well done!

Well worth the purchase!
I am a fall risk. Each time this belt was used, my roommates said this belt was easier to use and the handles comfortable. It was easier on me, too. Much better than the traditional gait belts!!!

Holds alot
I use this to hold my diabetic pump because sometimes I don't have enough room in my pockets.

Not for very small waist
Very sturdy and easy to remove and has sufficient handles BUT hard to adjust for woman's waist size of 34. Also the back of it over time (2 months) folds over and will not stay flat anymore.

Softer on the waistline than canvas belt, easy hand holds - best for a smaller to medium size waist
Images do not clearly show that the item has no handles in the front, but the lack of additional handles allows a wide range of adjustment, including pulling tight on a small waist. For a larger waist, there is plenty of room for expansion. There are multiple hand hold loops that are comfortable to hold and easy to grab when walking behind or to the side of the wearer. But if worn over a larger abdomen, the only support from the front would be far to the side, so assisting the wearer from the front would require either one sided assist or very close positioning. If a person has a large girth and needs assist to stand, not just to balance while walking, I would suggest a similar belt that is designed specifically for a larger waist size.
