If you've blown your hamstring off, you know the deal with the pain of learning to sit again after surgery repair, for a very long time. I did a lot of research and bought a few cushions and this is the lucky winner--the design is perfect for weight shift off of direct incisional pain on the seat of the buttock. Purchased in Sept. 2018. Still like new in 2026. This Purple Royal seat cushion was purchased eight years ago and is still an office chair accessory. Yes, it is weighty, but I am not dropping a star just for that. I do not ever carry it around. It sits in my office chair and is used regularly. Eight years and counting. I did purchase another for my wife a year ago. The old one is a slightly softer sit, but it has been around a long time. I do recommend this product enough that I would not ever want to try a knock off. No noticeable wear to the cover yet either.

Listen, I know the price seems outrageous. Over 100 bucks for a seat cushion? (If you watch the price, you might get it for around 85ish) Let me save you some time, money, and possibly getting BANNED from Amazon for too many returns. **Stop looking and get this one!** Trust me, this is the one to rule them all. I tried 13 different cushions I found on Amazon and NONE of them come close to how good this one is! That Includes the other legit Purple cushions. I tried all those, too. This has the perfect balance of thickness, sturdiness, and flex you need for a seat cushion. All the other alternative brands were too flimsy, even the 4-inch-thick ones. I tried the other Purple seat cushions, and this one was the perfect one. The other Purple cushion are either too thin, or way too thick and hard. I had lower lumbar spine surgery, and if I sit on a hard surface for too long, I get excruciating back pain, spasms and can barely move. This has 100 percent fixed that issue. I started working from home this year and it was between getting an expensive $700-$800+ ergonomic computer chair, or a 100 dollar seat cushion. I can do a 9+ hour shift sitting in my cheap old computer chair with no issues. I sat on a 5.5 hour Spirit Airlines flight with this as a cushion and had no issues. I am 6ft, 220lbs just to give you an idea. I promise you this is the one. Update: I have purchased 5 of these now. My wife wanted one and I gave them as gifts to my family who try my cushion and love it. I can't recommend it enough.

Yeah, I really wanted to love this... And I do... But at the same time I had to stop using it. Lol. It is very cushiony and I don't have any pain directly coming from the cushion... But I sit at a desk and on a normal desk chair at work... It bothers my hips and legs. I really couldn't tell you if it's just me or what. When I first sit down it feels very cushiony and I like it... And then I start getting this feeling in my hips and my legs and my knees and somehow it's more comfortable to sit on my chair without it 😬

This is the BEST seat cushion I have ever had and I've had a lot. It is helping my sciatic nerve pain so much. I had a hard time spending this amount of money for it, but it is worth it. :)

I knew I needed a cushion for my work chair because my rear and back were hurting, but I didn't know I was missing something so heavenly. Every time I sit down I'm met with the perfect amount of firmness and squish, and the breathable material means it's like having a cool breeze on my derriere when I first sit down. This is great for stuffy offices, and taking a breather from lifting heavy boxes on my chair helps to cool me down now. I originally wanted to purchase this for dual-use, I had planned on also using it in the car and bringing it on airplanes. This is impossible due to it's size, cars would work but you are lifted abut 2 inches off the seat, and it is entirely too big and bulky to travel with in a cramped airplane. Also it's heavy, like a good 4-5 pounds. I debated on swapping it out for the thinner cushion but these two inches of squish have changed me and I can't go back.

Bought one seat cushion and it's fantastic, so I've now ordered 3 more. I'll use 2 - one in the house, one in the car, and hubby will do the same. I've been using memory foam cushions and they flatten out after a little while. These gel cushions are simply awesome. No more painful "bum bones"!
