Very nice hammock
This hammock is absolutely beautiful. It is so well-made. It is so big. Itโs unbelievable. You can even fit three people in there. my daughter purchased one and my son fell in love with it every time he visits his sister he lays on it so I purchased him one for Fatherโs Day all I can say is that itโs very well-made. Itโs very sturdy. My daughters had it for about a year now and it literally still looks brand new. I feel itโs an excellent product for the money you wonโt go wrong with this hammock.

Goldilocks hammock!
This just delivered on 4/4/25, but felt an immediate review was necessary. The mixed reviews on it had me on the fence about this one compared to 2 others closely ranked according to reviews. I bought the 1st cotton woven hammock brand back in January and it was incrediblyyyy comfyโฆbut started falling apart early on, and at 3 months, it had fallen apart to the point of no repair. I only used it indoors, as I hammock sleep full time, and I use a merino sleeping bag liner too (comfort for me, and a barrier between me and the hammock to protect it and also keep it and my top quilt cleaner longer. I contacted that company directly in hopes theyโd make it right, and they never responded. I bought a different woven hammock to replace it, which had thicker cotton rope and it was so long and so stiff and had a musty smell, so I returned it and hoped Sunnydaze would be โ3rd time is a charmโ. I have been hammock sleeping full time for over a year now (which started because Iโd been hammock camping for a couple years and it kept making me want to โcampโ full time). I was using my 11 and 12 foot camping hammocks comfortably full time since 2024, but really wanted to try a cotton (natural material) woven hammock, and knew the โsolidโ cotton fabric hammocks would be too stiff for me, so went on the hunt for woven and spent hours reading reviews and comparing measurements. This Sunnydaze natural cotton one is my sweet spot I was hoping for! I almost bought the Amazon warranty, but decided to trust if the manufacturer offers a 1-year warranty, then they stand behind their stuff (and I saw another review that said they honored their warranty). The rope thickness is right on point between the other 2, and I have the same comfort as that first one that fell apart (the measurements are within scope of each other, and HUGE). I slept so well last night! I am so pleased with this Goldilocks find that I may still get the 2 year Amazon warranty to insure my quality of sleepโฆ.a small investment with a big payoff. The arms of my Sunnydaze donโt appear to be nylon, although the natural color variantโs description says that it is. That wasnโt a deciding factor for me, and I think Iโd rather have all cotton anyway, as if the cotton relaxes naturally over time, the friction will be reduced by cotton arms vs nylon. If my Goldilocks Sunnydaze starts to fall apart under the 1-year mark, Iโll be sure to follow up and edit my review to include the customer support response.

Things to consider.
I have been sleeping at night in Mayan hammocks for years now. I wear them out every couple years, but the quality of my sleep and how I feel when I wake up, makes up for replacing them. This is my current bed. It is very comfortable and I have purchased this brand before. This hammock is not family sized, it is a double or matrimonial size. Not a problem because family sized hammocks are huge and a double is the perfect size for me. This is very comfortable. Room to stretch out for side sleep and a little stomach time is pretty good also. Having purchased this in the past, you need to know that the gauge of the string has decreased in thickness since I last purchased one, but the price has remained the same. I am in my 60โs and it is worth the learning curve to begin sleeping in these. I donโt wake up sore as long I have the hang right and the hammock has been woven correctly. My allergy specialist also says these string hammocks wonโt harbor dust mites. I have put this up high enough on occasion to fold myself over for a bit of a back stretch. You have to work pretty hard to fall out of a Mayan hammock and you could not convince me sleeping in one with spreader bars is safe. I will purchase this again when I wear through this one. As long as the company maintains the quality and durability, I donโt mind the lighter weight string as long as it lasts me a few years. Just a suggestion for those who take them outside, if you are not using it, get a large S hook, hang it and store it inside. This is a nice piece of furniture and should be treated well. I have included a photo of how mine is stored so I have full use of my room during the day. I may do some macramรฉ along the edges just to dress it up a bit. I do have two cats who want to use this as a scratching post when I am in it. They have been banned from my room when they are inclined to do that. I want it to wear out from ME, not them. Enjoy!

Happy Hammocking!
Love this hammock! I've been sleeping nightly in hammocks for over 6 years (due to an injury, I can't lay flat. I need an incline for my head). Plus, there are research studies explaining the benefits of genlty rocking for sleep and brain health. I have used many different sypes of hammocks - rip-stop nylon, canvas, and various thicknesses of woven hammocks. Each has its pros and cons. Now, whole cloth hammocks, nylon, canvas, etc are good in that there is very good support and are very durable, but as soon as your weight hits the fabric, the material becomes stiff and loses some comfort factors. The woven hammocks can be woven with either thick or thin cordage. The thick cordage I found to be not very comfortable, while the thinner cordage can be extremely comfortable, as your weight is held by some of the cordage while the other strands not supporting your weight are soft and help distribute weight so there are no hard spots. The downside of cordage is: while together as a whole hammock the strands can hold significant weight, by themselves they can tear easiiy. For instance, I caught my watch on a single strand and it ripped and that eventually lead to the unwinding of my hammock making it useless. Indoors, there are less hazards to ripping a strand but it can still happen. Most folks hang their hammocks outside, so if you hang this hammock anywhere near bushes or any structural hazard and the wind blows the hammock into the hazard, I'd bet that the strands of the hammock would be torn in windy conditions. Now this hammock is the most comfortable hammock I have slept in, but I have to say I am very careful not to get it close to anything that will tear a single strand.

Huge
Exactly what I was looking for, spent a few years in Yucatรกn, needed to replace my hammock and this is it. Itโs large enough to lay sideways and sleeps great.

Gets moldy if wet/rains
Not recommended for non covered areas. Itโs only been a few months and I tied it to my trees and we had a big storm and it got I credibly moldy and held so much water. And the water that was coming off of it was brown and yellow. I understand this is not died but it mustโve been coated with some chemical. Anyway itโs a moldy mess and not worth washing. It doesnโt spread out so it canโt dry. I think Iโll have to go back to those bigger corded ones that stay open and have larger mesh holes in them so that it dries. If you are in a complete covered area with no water or rain then this should be fine for you.

Happy we found this.
This is perfect. We got it to replace a hammock that we bought years ago in Mexico. This is very similar in quality and color so we are very happy with it.
