Birchwood Casey 3/8" Gong Hanger Kit with Stand

Shot with 308 at 100 yards and besides impact spots there's no damage to plate after 40 rounds. Gong is very audible at this range. Target stand is showing some minor wear and tear from shrapnel but this is expected. Stand is lightweight and takes seconds to set up so it's great if your shooting alone. Overall for the price I'm very happy with the purchase and would buy again. I would suggest swapping chain bolts to grade 8 bolts as both did strip and 1 broke by the end of the day, which is expected with such a high caliber round. **update** after another 200+ rounds of 308 at 100yrds coupled with 100+ rounds of 223, and there is still no damage to the plate. The stand also took a direct hit to the top and only dented but is structurally sound and still working fine. I went with the cheaper option on Amazon (which usually ends in disappointment) but this is the exception. Everyone will ask you at the range "where did you buy that?." I've already saved more than $75 that would have been spent on targets and target holders. Thanks Viking Solutions!

Excellent, sturdy frame. The frame on mine has taken some stray shots and is still holding up well! When the local public range banned metal plates, I adapted it by cutting plywood squares and circle target mounts, drilling holes in them, and bolting them to the support chains. This rig is quick to set up and take down!

I like these, I have 2 of them. Quick and easy to bring and setup then breakdown and take home. Work good. My only take away is I would like to see a way that the 2 stands (feet?) parts could be collapsed or altered in a way to store easier or flatter. Not a deterrent by any means, I would still use these and continue buying them when them when needed.

Awesome gong at a affordable price. I must have shot it 2 or 3 hundred times when it arrived with 5.56 at 110 yards and it's works and sounds great, it does dimple a very small amount tho.

Great product. Functions well and easy to assemble

Love this song! Best bang for your buck. Nice sound when it gets hit by the round, very loud feedback even at 200 yards. Just make sure you dont hit the chain or it will snap. Just take some extra chain with you and orange spray paint for the gong itself and you're set.

Great gong that lasted through a 5.56. Bring extra chains. We shot the chain, and it did snap and broke but thats going to happen. Unfortunately we did shoot one through the stand that connects the two bars from disassembling. It went through the metal and bend it outwards where we can't no longer pull it apart, but its not the company's fault. The other chain was still able to with hold the gong, and we were able to still have fun.

I've spent hours shooting steel targets at various ranges w/both handguns & rifles. By far this target is the easiest to set up & also to transport. In your yard, range or deer lease this target will provide many hours of enjoyment & also keep you sighted in for the shot that counts. Excellent product w/a sturdy, simplistic design. Thank you Viking Solutions for a great product!
