My wife neglected to remove both ball-bearing full extension oven racks when using the "Clean Oven" feature that operates for 2 hours at 500 F on our new Wolf range. The result: The finger pressure sliding of the extended racks now became metal-to-metal jamming and screeching when attempting to use either. As replacing both racks was over $600, I tried using a couple of lubricants. But I learned - as other reviewers have - that these tend to emit a mechanical odor and begin to fail as temperatures exceed 400 F. Both racks were shot. Or so I thought. As a last resort I tried this expensive Krytox grease. Problem solved. I applied about 0.1 oz to the rails and bearings housing of each rack, slid them back and forth a few times to work the grease in and put them to the test. Both racks operate as good as new, and have been in daily use for 2 months now. No odor. No failure. Everything still performs as expected. I've not had to apply any more grease, and still have half of the tube remaining. I can't speak for every situation, but Krytox solved an otherwise expensive problem in our kitchen.

Krytox has long been the platinum standard Re: joint grease in labs everywhere. But it's typically very expensive, @ least 4 amateur chemists, & the smallest tube was ~$50usd. This smaller version finally makes the best grease on Earth accessible 4 amateurs. If used properly too, this smaller tube should last a year or better as just a dab in enough 2 lube a couple 24/40 joints sufficiently. 😎

I used this on my sunroof seals after cleaning them really well with alcohol. A little goes a long way with this stuff, but it's easy to apply and appears to last a long time. This fixed the issue I was having with my sunroof sticking and not opening and creaking noises going on rough roads.

Only thing I use for my retractable sunroof. Nothing else I have tried works as well.

My main use for for this was to lubricate shaft bearings on a wet grinder (Tormek). It handles that job perfectly, providing great lubrication and excellent water resistance. Since then, I've used it in a variety of other applications from flashlight threads, to kitchen appliances, to automotive parts. It is virtually inert, having no negative effect on any plastics or rubber, and stays where it is put. This may seem like a small tube but it is very effective and most applications require very small amounts. Highly recommended!
