HtM2 Microwave Leakage Detector, LCD Display High Precision Radiation Meter Tester

Works as expected

My microwave is 34 years old. I never thought about testing it for safety until now. It is pretty rusted. So, I bought the Hti Microwave Leakage Detector.It is sold with "battery included". First problem is that there was no battery. I guess someone took it as the box it came in had obviously been opened. Oh, well, I put in a battery.Second problem is that 'directions' are inadequate. For example, below what number is safe? So, I went online and found helpful instructions.My leakage appears to be safe. Really, after 34 years with tons of rust? I am NOT convinced. I think I wasted my money.A couple of weeks after my original review, I used the detector to test a neighbor's microwave. The detector lit up like a Christmas tree! So, I need to change my review; the detector works.

I checked the microwave after repair, compared it well with another microwave, so a big vote of confidence there.

This item is inexpensive, and made for casual use. However, it did detect a sprung door one one old microwave oven. It measured a high leakage. When I pushed the door shut it measured low leakage. So it works.

it stopped working right after first use. I don't recommend this

Like everyone else I opened an empty battery case. I just moved and can't locate batteries, so had I known I would have ordered a battery when I ordered the detector. Now I'm waiting on a battery before I can operate the detector and this microwave has a glued crack in the door. My box had been opened and creased so I also feel like I got someone's returned unit. It was all about cost.

The box it comes in says battery included.THERE IS NO BATTERY!You need to buy one.There are similar models for same price that do come with the battery.

On/Off Button is exposed and turns the unit On & Off while inside the protective case!!!!! Instructions really need help. No reference where to find acceptable tolerance Range.
