If you buy this, you may open up the box and think you're being shortchanged. Reason for this is that it's very small and one would perhaps expect something more substantial. Don't let this put you off though! My previous Tanita scales I thought performed wonderfully but the main issue for me is my bathroom tiles aren't huge so the feet of those scales had to rest on more than one tile. This wouldn't be a problem if the tiles were 100% level but this isn't always the case and certainly not with mine. Don't get me wrong, the tiles look fantastic but there's always some very slight deviation. This means that when the scales were moved, I'd weigh a bit more or a bit less. Odd that because just shifting the scales with my foot shouldn't really burn calories or make me put on muscle that quickly!! The deviation could be up to 0.6lbs so to makes things more consistent, I made a couple of light marks on the tiles so that the scales were in the same place (or thereabouts) each time. Still though, any tiny deviation from this would give me a different reading. This is where these scales 'step in'. They are small enough to sit on a single tile in my bathroom. Also it doesn't seem to matter which tile they're on - i get very consistent results each time. A fantastic feature is that you can set presets and based on those, the scales will recognise who you are - up to 5 person memory which is absolutely fantastic and great for all the family. It means you don't have to press any of the buttons with your toe - just stand on them with your heels on the bottom pads and it will automagically know who you are - you may not think this is useful but the scales use calculations based on your height, age and weight to calculate. Don't worry about your toes hanging over the front - this is not important and quite normal unless you have extremely tiny feet or are a child. There are a plethora of results that the scales give you; body water, body fat etc and the only problem I have with these scales is that the reading, even at my short height, hard to read so you have to step off the scales to get a closer look. To be honest, I use them mainly to just check my weight but occasionally take a closer look to see where I am in terms of body fat. The readings it gives are accurate enough but do not rely on them as definitive figures as they are, in my view, mainly an indication of progress. Excellent set of scales. I don't think you'll be disappointed for the price. If i had to buy another set of scales, as long as these last, I'd buy the same again. Tanita have been in the weighing game for a very long time and know what they're doing. Sure there may be the odd lemon out there but I tend to go with this brand with other household scales. Another drawback is that they're so quick to register your weight, it's tempting to step on them every time you visit the bathroom but that's more of an obsession of mine than a problem with the scales!! You get to realise though what kind of thing shift your weight up such as eating a starchy meal and drinking a lot of fluid increasing your weight due to water retention. Very happy with them :)

Una bilancia essenziale dalle dimensioni compatte, ultra light e dal design semplice e moderno, perfetta per chi ha poco spazio e preferisce oggetti non ingombranti e non invadenti dal punto di vista estetico. Una delle bilance impedenziometriche più economiche, include funzionalità avanzate (% di acqua, grasso totale e viscerale, massa ossea e muscolare, metabolismo basale, età metabolica, livello di attività fisica) ad un prezzo concorrenziale ed è ottima per iniziare a controllare la propria forma fisica in maniera più scientifica. Niente a che vedere con bilance "smart" nella stessa fascia di prezzo che hanno app e ammennicoli di vario genere ma che alla fine restituiscono misurazioni a dir poco "fantasiose". Manca dunque una connessione con lo smartphone per memorizzare il peso e gli altri dati misurati dagli elettrodi, ma personalmente ho risolto con un'app gratuita di terze parti per la trascrizione manuale dei valori, in modo da avere lo stesso grafici e un diario continuo. Le misurazioni sembrano precise e coerenti, non ho riscontrato anomalie né fluttuazioni dei valori, non delude le aspettative legate al brand Tantita. Il riconoscimento automatico dell'utente (memorizza fino a 5 persone, il che può essere estremamente utile per un utilizzo da parte di tutta la famiglia) funziona bene e in generale la bilancia è facile da programmare e utilizzare. Non ho utilizzato modalità di utilizzo specifica "atleta". Da tempo cercavo un dispositivo economico ma preciso, aver trovato un'occasione "usata come nuova" del modello è stata la risposta alla mia ricerca. Unica nota negativa è nella spedizione da parte di Amazon Warehouse: il prodotto è arrivato direttamente nella sua scatola originale senza alcun involucro protettivo, ma del resto avendo risparmiato abbastanza rispetto al prezzo originale, sono ben disposta a sacrificare un imballaggio!
