is this product made in china?

Don't even bother checking out the website provided by Bannarino.... cannot trust a website that is supposedly completely centered around xylitol that contains such a poorly written and poorly researched article that states "The fields the corn is grown in generally do not use pesticides, and only use non-GMO corn. This would qualify the corn as organic." FALSE. Non-GMO does not = organic. My guess is that this site was likely created, owned and ran by a China-based manufacturer and/or distributor of corn-derived xylitol with the sole purpose of plopping it down under their product page (as it is here) to use deceit and misinformation to persuade potential buyers to buy their product. It's a shame. BTW, also think twice before purchasing a product labeled as "non-GMO" if it doesn't show the "Non-GMO Project Verified" seal.... especially with corn products!

Is this xylitol made in usa?

It appears that this corn-derived product not from birch from China, is shipped to US, where its inspected, processed and packaged. They seem to be thorough in their inspection and monitoring process to insure a high quality product.

My top choice to backsweeten cider

There are several nonfermentable sugars to choose from if you want to back-sweeten ciders or wine, but I think Xylitol is the best. Some report digestive issues with high levels of xylitol intake, so if you are making a VERY sweet cider or dessert wine, you might want to look at other options (maybe erythritol) -- but for semi-sweet or off-dry ciders, I feel like you can't beat Xylitol. Adds nice, solid sweetness that (of course) will not decrease due to fermentation over time. Remember: IT IS TOXIC TO DOGS! Keep it far from your furry friends!
