I want to replace the front stock speakers in my 2003 Nissan Xterra. I have a Kenwood Excelon KDC X494 50w X 4 Will these do the job?

These speaker are the best component speakers I've ever heard by far. You will need an amp to get the most out of them

Where and how do these tweeters get mounted? Do I have to drill a hole out for them in the door panel somewhere?

The tweeter is mounted separately from the 6 inch speaker. You do have to drill a hole to mount them to the door, dash or anywhere you want. It mounts flush and the tweeter can tilt to aim the sound. These are great for cars already configured with remote mounted tweeters by the manufacture like a Mercedes. The kit comes with universal mounts.
