Slow shipping and expensive, but ULTRA CUTE!
Love these dollhouses from Billy's Doll Houses. I have done three of the doll houses: Takoyaki, Thatched Tea House, Uji Tea Shop (this one). I would rate this one about 7-8 out of 10 difficulty. This one should not be your first Billy Doll House or if you haven't built a model before. If you have, this one is so cute and super authentic. We just came back from Uji, Kyoto and saw a shop exactly like this, so I was super happy to buy it the day I got back to the states! Shipping is slow though... my only complaint, especially given that it is so much more expensive than the ones I picked up at Tokyu Hands in Tokyo. For that, I should have given it 4 stars... but it is so cute it keeps all five!

Nearly Perfect Doll House Kit
Perfect size, nicely crafted and with many wonderful detail accessories.....What a joy to be able to prepare and paint all the wooden parts for the model builder that enjoys working with these types of model details. Would have been perfect if this came with a dust cover as with other modular models. Enjoy

Mostly thin paper - scale is off overpriced
Scale is wrong in this . Item is very cheap mostly thin paper - as a25 dollar kit maybe

75% paper. Not worth the price
Could be very cute when finished but almost $50 for paper is absurd. 75% of things are paper. Not even cardboard for most of it. Would absolutely be worth it if the parts were a better quality. I have several other Japanese building kits that are cheaper that are at least balsa wood. Should have trusted the other similar reviews.

I'm crying hard because these Japanese kit are so cute but so expensive!! I'll wait for them to lower the prices.
