Really practical and manageable
This arrived quicker than I thought considering lockdown. So well done there and thanks. Came put of the blue for my partner, the gout that is. We knew about celery seed standardised extract which although not mentioned in this book is brilliant. However the book gives really sensible advice, guidance and hope that you can live a normal life again with a few hints, changes and tweaks No flare ups since we have been doing the diet and eaten really well/ The diet is full of different variations for every meal. I am used to alterative diets though, but a lifestyle change is needed to live a full and pain free life. It is easy to follow and explains everything fully. One point though it is sometimes a bit vague when it says something like bag of chocolate chips. Now I only had a bar so I used that and it worked. Tweaks maybe needed but worth it to have the things you once enjoyed again. Give it a go and feel the same about some of your favourite dishes that you thought you would never be able to eat again.

The Healing Gout Cookbook - Very Helpful!
I’m really enjoying this cookbook. It’s less restrictive than some other cookbooks and it is written by a Registered Dietician. There are plenty of pictures (but not of every recipe). The images show precisely what you are getting. I’ve tried a few recipes and they are accurate and delicious.

Needs pictures for recipes, even small ones.
The recipes seem easy, I do wish they were accompanied by pictures. So confused, the first Google for Gout says no spinach, No sesame seeds, tomatoes, apples etc; recipes include these ingredients

Fantastic recipes with lots of information
This book is fantastic.. My husband suffers with gout and I didn’t know what to cook or even what to eat!! This book has great recipes! Example: soak a steak in 1 cup of black coffee..it changes the purines and acidity..my husband was so happy to eat steak again!! 100% recommendation
