Its silly putty. Its cheaper at the dollar store but i needed it fast and amazon had it.

Always a hit for kids. This traditional putty doesn’t dry out quite like slime. It starts a little tough but gets more malleable as you play with it and it warms up. I got this on the suggestion of an ADHD support page to help my child concertrate. Haven’t seen how effective it is for that at this point.

It's squishy, it's stretchy, it snaps, it bounces, it's non-Newtonian, you can roll it into a ball, you can squish it into a cube, it can lift pictures straight from the funny pages - okay, that last one may not be so relevant these days. This is a great fidget toy for all ages (it's all right, don't be shy, I bought it for myself too), and can remain enjoyable for quite a long time. It'll probably be very hard when you get it, but don't be discouraged - just work it in your hands for a few minutes and it'll soften up a bit. I'll have to see how it does in the long term, though - after a couple of months, the last one I had went soft and sticky, and lost its bounce and snap. Hopefully that was a fluke and not an inevitable consequence of playing with it too much, we'll see. I would say it's a bit overpriced if it's destined to only last a little while, but I can't say definitively.
