Cool design comb!
Well made hair brush. Hard plastic material. Sturdy and good grip. The skull print is non slip. Easy to comb my thick long hair (waist lenght straight hair) the bristle is not too soft. Love the design very much.

Very pretty but over priced and cheap feeling
Looks great on my vanity but the construction feels cheap. It does detangle by not as well as the leading brand. Would be a good value at half the price.

The bristles are quite rigid
Start by noting that I'm a bloke and I have relatively short hair, and it doesn't really tangle that much, so my opinions about this Tangle Angel Rebel brush might not be so relevant to you, particularly if you have long hair. I've had a Tangle Teezer brush sitting on the shelf next to my desk for a couple of years and it's quite therapeutic giving my hair an occasional brush - the bristles feel like they're somehow stimulating my scalp which is a nice feeling. So this Tangle Angel brush is surprisingly different to the Tangle Teezer. And it's not just the evil skull effect on the bit that you hold, the bristles are very different indeed. On the Tangle Teezer you have quite thin plastic bristles, and they are two different lengths - who knows why - presumably there's some kind of science involved. On this Tangle Angel brush all the bristles are the same length - 17mm long. In terms of bristle-count there are approximately the same number of long bristles on the Tangle Teezer as on this Tangle Angel, there being about 7mm separation between each bristle. On the Tangle Teezer though you have the same number of shorter bristles meaning there are actually twice as many, but only the long ones come into contact with your scalp. The bristles on the Tangle Angel are more rigid and unforgiving, which is okay on my hair and scalp, but maybe wouldn't be so good if you're brushing a small child's hair - in which case the ghostly skull would also not be particularly appropriate. On both brushes there is a slight curve to the surface of the bristles so when you press it onto your scalp virtually all the bristles touch because of the curve of your head. The Tangle Angel is made from two pieces of plastic and they're bonded very firmly together. By contrast the Tangle Teezer is made of two pieces of plastic that click together - if you wanted to hide something inside this would be pretty easy, although I'm sure that the customs officials that go through your bag would be wise to this little ploy. In summary, I guess a goth would like this brush. It certainly works but you can get cheaper brushes that perform differently - I'm not saying particularly better or worse. The 3D skull design is interesting, but it doesn't affect the performance of the brush, except in that it might give you a tiny bit of grip under certain circumstances. The iridescent silver effect is attractive.
