Adult Perfect Weight Wet Dog Food

Very healthy, very low calories

My dog is a picky eater, but she loves this food.

After many, many years of trying other brands I finally found Hill's Science Diet Adult Perfect Weight Wet Dog Food, Hearty Vegetable & Chicken Stew to be the BEST dog food for all my rescue dogs. No problems with allergies or other medical problems with this brand. Highly recommend it for your doggie best friend.

Hill's Science Diet Perfect Weight is fantastic! Our two small dogs love the food and we love that it is healthy for them and helps us manage their weight! The product helps you navigate what amount of food your pet need to either lose or maintain weight. It's good for them and reliable! We and the dogs love this product! August 2023. First "taste" review of the "Hill's Science Diet, Perfect Weight, Hearty vegetables & chicken stew, 12.5 oz per can x 12 cans". Purchased for around $50 (FYI tried to return before opening them because better price was available but *THIS ITEM CANNOT BE RETURNED*). I was in search of a non-prescription, low kcal, low fat, chicken flavored, wet food for a 10 years old schnauzer (adult/senior dog) without her gallbadder, who gained 3 lbs in 4 months due to low metabolism even though she has no appetite (diagnosed with hypothyroidism half a week ago =/). Compared 5 different Hill's wet foods, and chose this because it had the good reviews with moderate fiber, low fat, low kcal/can, and was one of the more cost-effective ones. The food smell is pretty strong and seems to trigger my dog's appetite (yay!). I'll report back after a month or so regarding if the weight is managed/lost/gained. For now, I'm still in the middle of transitioning her to this from FreshPet and also mixing it with Hill's "small dog sensitive stomach/skin" kibbles that I already had). So far so good!

Good for my dog good dog food

We have a 9 year old chubby little Blue Heeler whose weight was too much for her hips. I’ve had her on canned weight control food since about June and she’s losing but very slowly. I needed to speed up the process as our walks had decreased from at least 1 1/2 to 3 miles a day down to less than a mile. She is in so much pain. I hesitated to buy this as it costs considerably more but the description says 70% of dogs lose weight in like 6 weeks. I’m so glad I did. I saw others were mixing it with dry so I bought both to slow her down. She ate so fast and was always hungry. This is working and people are noticing. We live in a retirement community and some people were really rude and said she was too fat. Now they say she’s looking better and no one asks if she’s pregnant anymore. I’m very happy so far. Her starting weight was 24 lbs. now down to 21 in about 5 weeks.

Whereas the pate is solid but crumbles up nicely (especially when I microwave for 6 seconds because I keep the can covered with foil in the fridge) this stew is in gravy. This stew is what makes her dance, so we will stick with it. I am grateful to Amazon for making the range of SD Perfect Weight products available for us - they don't have much of the line at our competing local Pet Super markets. This stew is a great mix of big & small chunks of meat, vegetables and thick gravy. This makes my 13-in-Jan 2018 small breed dog dance for dinner, which was not her style before she tried the stew. Twice a day we mix 1/4 cup Science Diet Perfect Weight dry for miniatures (great small little crunchy) with a loaded teaspoon of this stew. She just licks that plate so clean every time, which she didn't really do with the pate she had before. Vet recommended we watch her weight via weekly weighing at home, and adjust the portions as we see fit. It is nice to not worry about calculating the proper amount - as long as she isn't gaining (or losing too much) the regimen is good, and is easy enough to tweak as needed. Before the Perfect Weight wet, she was eating adult regular SD wet like the Salmon for Sensitive skin, and Chicken and Barley. She has lost a lot of weight and was maintaining the weight loss well with the Science Diet Perfect Weight dry - it did the trick when other "diet" lines failed. So when I came across this SD Perfect Weight wet food, I decided to use it to increase the effectiveness of the Perfect Weight dry. This stew, with the Perfect Weight mini crunchy is the perfect combination for my girl.
