Henry HE587372 Roof Coating, 5 Gal

This stuff immediately reduced the heat gain in the house. Needs several additional layers and keeps improving the reflection value and lowering heat gain. I decided to paint some of the house exterior with it too!

I coated several black tar roof surfaces with this, definitely reduces roof temperature which keeps attic cooler and prolongs life of the roof. Just make sure the roof surface is clean and no loose dirt accumulation. This makes the roof blinding in the sun. Great stuff. I recoat every few years to keep it looking nice and white. You can roll it on vertical surfaces like knee walls and just spread it with a wide broom on flat horizontal surfaces, working it in a bit as you go.

I put this on my 28ft Motor home that has the orginal aluminium uncoated for a roof. I wasn't using this to seal it because of leaking but was trying to cool the rv down when it's sunny out. The rv has reached 115 F and the windows have the reflective double shade things in all the front windows and a few of the sides. So i felt a good portion of the heat being generated was coming from thr roof. So i seen this reflects something like 75% weathered. So i decided what will it hurt to seal the roof and relect some heat. The first coat went on thin but wasn't expecting it to be a one and done. The second coat applied thicker after shaking and in the same conditions as the previous day. 90 F ....humid.........and sunny. I applied it looking at the hourly forecast seeing it as a 10% chance maximum for the next 12 hours. Well that ended up a very wrong prediction my local weather woman and the weather channel app. In less than 5 hours of the second coat it poored cats and dogs. Luckily I tarped 80% just before the storm. And the 20% that was uncovered getting all the rain ended up perfectly fine. It was soft but it wasn't tacky or running. I left it for the next day to dry and check the horrifying damage which was day 3. Temp was 89, humid and on and off sun. The coating was dry, beautiful and amazing. So much cooler on the roof. The roof was 111 F with coating and 128 F without. The inside was 103 F instead of the 115 F. So does it reflect heat....... yes. I still have 1/2 the jug left and thinking about putting on a nonsensical 3rd and possible 4th to just get it gone.

Easy to apply and dries quickly totally recommend for resealing a roof in any rv or camper

This was enough to put two coats on my RV roof, which is now totally leak free. It's also helped with cooling, because more of the sunlight is getting reflected. I laid this stuff pretty thick. It's dense and goopy so I suggest getting a paint stiring attachment for your drill. Stirring it by hand would be too much.

Henry HE587372 Roof Coating, 5 Gal was purchased to complete a project started but ran out of coating. Shipping happen quick taking only two days, much sooner than the expected eight days. Ordered through Amazon because I did not want to go to local, 7 miles away, big box store. Every few years I repaint a flat apartment building foam roof after inspecting and repairing (if needed) any imperfections in surface. I use Henry Roof Coating in a coastal environment which means checking weather conditions. Morning or evening fog delays coating roof.

Good service... good product for my mobile home roof. My roof is aluminum so be sure to check to see if it works for your type roof.

Love the product, but I could get a single layer to stop rippling and drying like that. While the product is great quality I wish that could be figured out or have very specific instructions that would stop that if seen.
