Is this a one-process henna or do you need to apply a base first, then the henna?

Just make the mixture according to directions and apply.  You have a choice of additives such as coffee, tea, olive oil, etc. All is just applied in 1 step. Stinky for a day or two :), but gorgeous color.

Question 2

I thought henna was permanent. Why does the description say this henna will last 4-6 weeks?

Answer plus how to remove it: It depends on which color you buy. Henna is a red powdered herb hair color and is permanent. It stains the most, indigo is a blackish blue herb that is also powdered but doesn’t stain as strongly as henna, cassia is a yellow herb that is also powdered for coloring hair but doesn’t grip/stain as much as the henna or indigo. Basically, as you keep coloring your roots/new growth, you’re maintaining your color and adding more color to what might be fading. If you decide herbal hair color is not for you, Color Oops extra strength will remove it. You may have to do 2 rounds of Color Oops (no bleach in it- doesn’t damage hair) to get the henna out so you can go back to chemical dye. I have a lot of experience with henna and all herbal dyes. I’ve removed henna with Color Oops and gone back to chemical color several times. Now that I’m an older gal I will stick to the herbal hair color.

Could Cassia (neutral henna) be mixed with light brown henna?

yes it can be mixed with any other henna color.. I use it when I don't want too much color but still want to use Henna in my hair as it conditions and makes my hair shiny.

I have black hair with lots of grey hair just in front .I have never tried this product .which color should I use so that it looks natural

Go with black if u have black hair. I've been using these Products for years they r the best. Read the bottle it makes ur hair so soft n colors completely, n helps hair growth.  Get a large bowl mix a little n mix with hot water then add some more n keep doing it n it should be like syrup.  When u have enough to cover ur hole head stop, Put it on cover roots n hair n I sleep with it on wit plastic bag. But u dont have to. But just keep it in 1hr. The longer it's in the healthy ur hair is.  Just wash it out wit cream rince Good luck. NYCLADYRIDER. OCT.2019
