Material & Feel: This pillowcase feels super smooth and soft—definitely quality silk. The 19 momme weight means it’s thicker and less flimsy than cheaper silk alternatives I’ve tried before. It’s cool to the touch, which feels nice especially during the summer. Hair & Skin Benefits: I’ve noticed less friction on my hair when I wake up, so less tangling and breakage. My skin also feels less dry or irritated, especially around the cheeks and forehead where my face rubs against the pillow. Not a miracle fix for side or stomach sleepers. You must sleep on your back to prevent wrinkles, silk pillowcases won't stop your skin creasing at night if you sleep on your face. Fit & Durability: Fits my standard pillows perfectly with a neat envelope closure—no slipping off in the night. After a few washes, it’s held up well with no visible wear or pilling. Just make sure to follow the care instructions (gentle wash, low heat drying) to keep it looking fresh.

It took some time for this to arrive- shipping was very delayed. However the pillowcase was worth the wait- it is excellent quality. It has a zipper to close it; which is a big step up from my old silk pillowcase. The material is very comfortable to sleep on- stays cool. Have washed it a couple of times in a mesh bag and line dried it with no problems at all.

This was my second time around for Lilysilk pillowcases. The first noticeable difference was the packaging. When I ordered a set during the early months of lockdown, they came in a pretty box with tissue and info materials. This time, it came in a cellophane bag and info materials. I'm not going to lie, I was deflated, especially since I sent someone another type of Lilysilk product as a Christmas present. Supposedly, it's done for environmental purposes. Next, the softness seemed not quite as silky smooth. Just a tad off. The lockdown order was purchased as a set of 2 in the silvergray color with envelope closures. This time, I wanted pink, so I had to order 2 of the 1 pc pillowcase to get 2. When you order this type, it has zipper closures. Both types of closure are fine with me. Additionally, both products are labeled 19 momme, however, I disclosed the order types in case that makes a difference. It shouldn't, but with some companies, there are inconsistencies within a product line. I will continue to buy their bedding. I'm working on adding different colors (including sheets). The pricing seems competitive, color options are good, it feels good against my skin, and I appreciate the OEKO-certification. The latter matters to me because I reach for holistic products. Note: they lost a star for price/value because I think I paid less with my initial order

I love this pillow case. It's soft and easy to clean. I'm a side sleeper and I wake up with no sleep lines on my face. There is no fraying yet after owning it for a while now. Good quality and would buy again.

Update: I had rated this a 3* and am increasing it to 5*. It is now Jan 2024 and I’m still using this pillowcase. For at least a year now I’ve just been tossing it in with my other sheets, no net bag, and into the dryer on low and have seen zero issues crop up with it as a result of this less careful treatment. There is a bit of wear on the zipper seams now from being removed and replaced so many times but it does still work. The stains came out and none of the loose threads unraveled to create an issue. I would definitely purchase again. Out of the box this pillowcase had a lot going for it. It came in beautiful packaging and was nicely wrapped in tissue paper. This was unfortunately marred somewhat by a sticky barcode sticker that couldn’t be neatly removed. I thought the silver color was very pretty, the zipper pretty discreet (although the pull does hang, it hasn’t bothered me), and the black brand exterior tag tastefully small. It fit my standard pillows well - fairly snug so there wasn’t a bunch of extra fabric but it wasn’t a struggle to insert them either (although the zipper does not extend all the way across so you do need to be careful). It didn’t slip around on my bed (or my head) as I feared, although the trade off was that it didn’t feel quite as slip-y to the touch as I had imagined. It is comfortable, although not anymore comfortable or cool really than my regular pillowcase (which I already liked). I haven’t really noticed a different in my hair or skin but if the sheets you sleep on aren’t very smooth to the touch I think there’s a good chance this could help you reduce breakage and frizz to your hair. I still sometimes wake up with sleep lines but caused by my face being smushed in a weird way, not due to creases in the pillowcase. I’ve noticed some spots on my pillowcase that you can see in the picture that I assume are from either my skin or hair products. This would’ve occurred after they’d had some time to sink in as I’m not applying them and then immediately laying down. I don’t consider this an issue with this product, just a consequence of it being real silk, it’s just something to keep in mind. I washed the pillowcase according to instructions (I chose handwash, done in cold water with a silk friendly detergent) and it washed well and was dry in a few hours, although this didn’t make a ton of difference in the appearance of the spots. The one significant con of this pillowcase unfortunately is the stitching. After just a few nights sleep I’ve noticed two places where the stitching seems to be unraveling (one is pictured, the other looks much the same). I can’t think of anything it would’ve caught on to cause that. I fear it’s only a matter of time before the pillowcase has holes, and I am going to feel like I need to wash the pillowcase less than I’d prefer because I worry moving the pillows in and out will cause them to unravel faster. If you want to purchase multiples, or you want to try a silk pillowcase out for the first time, or you know you use products that are likely to stain, etc. I think this is a decent starter silk pillowcase. I’m glad I gave it a shot. But if you’re looking for a luxury product experience that will last you this may not be what you’re looking for.

I have never owned a silk pillowcase, so I wanted to find one that was reasonably priced since I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I typically have used satin and have gotten rid of them quickly because they would get nicks and runs. This pillowcase is weighted 19 Momme and is very light and soft. When you receive it, you will want to unpack it and let it air out from the sericin odor (something produced by silkworms that binds the fibers). It is very smooth and lightweight. It is cool to the touch, but it does warm slightly up as you lay on it. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a zipper closure. That means it will stay on the pillow and not bunch up. There is a tag on the inside that has washing instructions, but it would have been nice to have care instructions on the insert that came inside of the box. If have any oils or lotions on your face, hair, and/or body, it will stain the pillowcase a little so wear those products wisely. I only rated it a 4 for warmth because it does stay on the cooler side even though it warms a bit. This is a really good entry-level product if you are new to silk. *Product Tester Review*
