Caveman Premium Heavy Stainless Steel Small Bowls For Baby Toddler Kids Snacks 4 Pack Cub Bowls

We had a few steel baby bowls already, but we love the Cub Cups by Caveman Cups so when they introduced their new bowls, we picked up a set. There are a few of stand-out features. 1) They are thicker than all the others. The extra weight makes them less likely to slide around and no matter how many times our Cub Bowls hit the floor, the just don’t dent. We have two other bowls ( " Thinkbaby Complete BPA Free Feeding Set, Orange, 6 Months " and “ Fresh Baby So Easy Baby Bowl, Green ”) that came inside plastic sleeves, but we don’t use the plastic. Without the plastic sleeves, the thin steel bowls do dent when they hit the tile floor (which happens a lot with our little learners). They don’t look so good after a while. Also, if the plastic is left on the bowls, they get stuck together when they're stacked together. 2) Nice matte finish. We don’t like the mirror finish on the others so much as this. The mirror finish pieces look like something that would be used in a factory cafeteria. Plus, the matte finish blends more with the inevitable scratches and fingerprints that come with daily use. 3) The Cub Bowls are lower and wider than the others. This makes tipping less likely and makes it easier for our littles to get their spoons and forks into the bowls to pick up food. The lower height and wide base makes for less frustration. 4) The rim is not rolled like the other thinner steel bowls. This was one of the reasons we liked the Cups by this same company. The rims do not collect dirty dishwater and harbor goo. These Cub Bowls are the same way. The rims are open (not rolled or crimped) so cleaning is a breeze. No worries about who-knows-what kind of mold and gunk is festering inside the rolled metal rims of these others bowls. If you stack these bowls (with the rolled rims) right out of the dishwasher, the dirty water that gets trapped in the rims, drips down the sides and contaminates the dishes beneath them too. So we would end up leaving these bowls on the counter for some extra dry time before putting them away. No need to do this with the Cub Bowls! Overall, the Cub Bowls are clearly the best. They are a little more costly than the others, but the quality justifies it. These will last forever. We are happy with them. Oh! I almost forgot....... Updated Review (7/15/16) -- I still think these are perfect bowls for the kids. They wash well in the dishwasher. Zero complaints. ********** Just received these and took them out of the box. Initial impressions are that these are perfect bowls. Very nice! When I ordered I was not sure they were worth the price, but these bowls look and feel like they are going to outlast anything I or my 3 year old twins could do to them. These have a very heavy bottom, so I don't think they will tip or slide around on accident. They are a great size for kids or for snacks. Probably too small for adults to use as a cereal or soup bowl. But super nice. Seriously wish they would make larger 16 oz cups and bowls for adults. The only larger cups I've seen have a hideous logo on them. I haven't looked for larger stainless bowls to see if they exist. I'll update after I wash and use these if I notice anything buyers should be aware of, but first impressions are 5 stars! No, I wasn't paid to write a review. And while the set did include a note mentioning leaving an Amazon review (I always ignore those annoying pleas from sellers), I like these so much right out of the box I wanted to leave a review immediately.

Excellent product. Exactly as described. My 4 year old twins love using them and my 2 year old is able to eat out of it with ease. A great weight for little ones and no worries about it tipping over with utensils resting on the side, even when the bowl is empty. I've enjoyed using them for ice cream, so it's not another "baby" item that loses its purpose when your kids transition to "adult" dishes. Our family uses the bowls multiple times throughout the day. I hand wash the bowls and I love that the edge is not curled under, so no worries about trapped water and possible bacteria growth. It also has brought such a peace of mind not having worry if the bowls are safe for my children. We were avoid plastic for the possible risk of chemicals leaching into their food and instead were using glass but noticed the glass was chipping so I immediately went looking for a safer/kid friendly dish. I can not express enough how excited I was to discover this product/brand. I will be purchasing more bowls and definitely want to try out the cub cup next! Would love to see a sectioned plate : ) !

These are the second set of bowls that I have purchased. We bought the first ones about a year ago for our 2 year old as we are trying to minimize plastic use. We just bought as second set as we now have 2 toddlers. We really like these bowls as they are quite durable and won't break when they get dropped or knocked on the floor. They wash well and easily in the dishwasher. I was a bit hesitant since you can't use them in the microwave so that means getting another bowl dirty at times, but I'm so happy I got these. I've also started to put the bowl in the freezer to get it cold before I place hot food in it and it will help cool down the food more quickly (my children think any food warmer than room temperature is "hot"). These will last us throughout childhood (and beyond, I'm sure). My kids love their "shiny bowls."

I previously purchased the Caveman Cups stainless steel kids' cups and loved them, so thought I'd give the bowls a try as well. I wasn't disappointed -- they're great! They're smaller and lower profile than I expected -- great not only for snacks, smaller meals, and side dishes for my 4-year-old, but also perfect for my 15-month-old who is just learning how to use a spoon. The profile is low enough that she can easily see into the bowl and what she's scooping up. These stack up super compactly in the cabinet and are super easy to clean (dishwasher-safe, also no rolled lip for food to get stuck under). They are pricey, but we are already getting a ton of use out of them (and they've already displaced the jumbled mess we previously had in the cabinet) so they are worth it for us!

Unbreakable! My toddler son (much to my dismay!) throws his plate on the floor when he's done (or tired of waiting in his chair for someone to rescue him after a meal). We have concrete floors. Concrete + food= no problem (short of a mess). Concrete+dishes/glasses/enamelware=problem. I don't use plastic stuff, so that's not an option, though it would likely be quieter when it hits the floor. Stainless steel bowls are noisy when tossed on the floor, but I imagine most of you will not be tossing them on the floor for a hobby, or you know, when you finish your food. These bowls hold a perfect amount of food for any meal for my toddler and decent sized portions for my older girls (ages 6 and 10) for things like soup and oatmeal. The bowls do get hot when filled with soup or porridge, but they're easy to cool if I set them in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes. These bowls seem like they will last forever. I would love it if there were plates!

I owned the cups and the plates, and have found the need for bowls and didn’t hesitate to buy again from this brand. What I like is that it has flat rims unlike others where dirt can build up underneath. These are really heavy and won’t easily move or tumble unlike others that I use. I just wish they would restock as only the bowls are available at this time. Great product.

I love how sturdy they feel, also the smooth edges important for my kids since they are 1 and 3.5. I had been wanting to get rid of all my plastic dishes and replace them with SS but kept putting it off. Glad I made this purchase.
