First, most suppliers on Amazon list the compatible model numbers for these seal kits. Many of these kits fit multiple different model numbers so you can Google your model number to verify compatibility. Second. I cannot overemphasize the value of buying OEM replacement seals. Definitely worth the cost difference in this case. I bought cheaper knock offs to save money. Argh. Started to leak within a few months and could not get a response from the seller. Amazon took care of me however. Very impressed! So I purchased OEM and they have been perfect. But what a nightmare to have to replace them again. The biggest hassle is the purging and addition of new hydraulic oil. What a mess! Obviously I don't have all the fancy equipment my mechanic has but it was eventually a happy ending and I still saved bunch of money! Have fun!

I have a 20' cc with one 1996 evinrude e200txedr with a seastar unit; i dont have the model number, as the cylinder label is gone. will this fit?

I’m not real sure, this kit fits the sea star pro unit! Mine is a 2006 with a 250 mercury motor!! They only have a few cylinders so I’m not sure what cylinder you have!! Sorry I couldn’t give you a solid answer!!

This vendor delivered quickly and the Seastar Seals were originals by Seastar. Why does this matter? Most other sellers on Amazon are selling generic Seals made in China and I bought and installed a set of these generic ones 6 months ago without realising. They were so tight the steering wheel on the boat was almost impossible to turn and after months of laboured use they were still too stiff and starting to leak. eventually after scouring Amazon I realised they were not made by Seastar. These genuine seals work a dream and the steering is smoothe and there are no leaks. Buyer beware!
