Overtone® The Remedy Deep Hydrating Colorless Hair Mask, 8oz

Fantastic product: its consistency is quite thick, so you really don’t need to use much to get great coverage. It’s very moisturising, has a pleasant fragrance without the scent being too strong. Leaves my hair super soft after washing, conditioning and then using the mask!

I had been using an expensive weekly deep conditioner from my hair salon that just wasn't worth it. I had used Overtone for color last year and it left my hair amazingly soft so I thought I would try this. I have greying hair as well (mostly brown with salt and pepper with about an inch or two around temples) so I mainly use purple shampoo/conditioner for my usually weekday washings. I wasn't sure how this would make my greys look or feel. Welp, it's now my go to deep conditioner. I use it about once per week and it leaves my hair soooo soft and bouncy. The greys are well conditioned. It does not give them that bright silver/white kind of color of purple shampoo though - more a soft brown/grey but I love it. The past two times I visited the salon she was shocked by how great my hair looked because it had been getting so dry and wiry between visits before. Two things to note though. I wish this had that strong minty smell of the color conditioner. It doesn't smell bad but eh...Also - this is a putty like texture and although I had thought I rinsed well the first time, it needed more rinsing. So really get in there and to rinse it all out. I had kind of pasty glob hair the first time I used it. Just a learning curve issue - otherwise I love it!

I bought this again because it’s the only thing that detangles my dry curly hair. I love this stuff it makes my hair so soft and shiny. The only thing I don’t like is the smell. It reminds me of toothpaste. I will deal with the smell for the results

So disappointed with the formula change. Formerly labeled as 'for fine hair,' this was my holy grail of hair products. Since they reformulated it in late 2025, the bouncy volume, shine and utterly soft texture it used to provide my hair has disappeared. I used to recommend this product to anyone who would listen but no longer do so.

Ya know those wonderful little packets of conditioner you get in box hair dyes? Ya know, when your hair smells incredible and it feels so soft that you can’t help but run your fingers through it all week long? People complement you on the scent if your hair? This conditioner is the next best thing. My fingers are obsessed with it, and if you’ve ever used Overtone semi-permanent hair color, you know it smells yummy. I can’t find anything closer to the wonderful little packet in a box of hair color. Highly recommend!

Overtone changed the formula recently so now this product smells bad. That’s a shame because for me, it’s the only product I’ve found that makes my curls soft and defined. I tried masking the smell using another conditioner on top afterwards and great smelling styling products but it did not work.

Love the sent and leaves my hair super soft and conditioned. Has no color pigments so it does NOT change the color of your hair. (Just in case ).:)

Such a great product! This is the untinted . Leave it on for a few minutes your hair is so my smoother
