We used 1 kitchen teaspoon per gallon of water. So it all depends on how much water you use on the plants. We also stored leftover feed in an old milk jug written on all four sides for what it contains. Hope this helps.

Why does the bottle say not to store diluted product?

I read that too and wondered the same. I thought maybe by making the solution and store it the water would evaporate and the fertilizer would be stronger and harm your plants That was my guess anyway. When I make the solution in a gallon jug, i just make sure to use it within a couple days. BTW, all my indoor plants love it! I hope I helped.
