VERY GOOD POT, HEAVY DUTY AND COOKS WELL
Love this pot. Very big and heavy duty. Cooks well, washes well. After washing, I oil it to keep it looking its best. I recommend this product.

Great for induction stovetop
This is a high quality, very well made cooking pot. No sharp edges. Inside is well-marked with quantity line (I can’t remember if it’s quarts or some other measurement, but you understand what I mean, I hope). Very shiny, good heft to this pot. The lid sealed very well. I bought this pot so I could boil ten pounds of potatoes for Thanksgiving. Did the job beautifully, was the perfect size.

Ideal Stock Pot
Very well constructed with easy-to-use handles. Indespensable for large gatherings. Compact height and diameter despite its 12-quart capacity. Cooks evenly and is easy to clean. Cover was a bonus.

Excellent 12Qt Pot, One Minor Detail
The Good: Price. This stockpot is a third of the price of the AllClad which is made in the U.S. and comparable across the board. The Bad: If you are anti-China or imports, there's your "bad". The Ugly: See photo. The inside graduated lines to measure volume are off. Makes my pot appear to only be 11.25 Quarts. If you need the interior measure lines for accuracy, this is not the pot for you. It does give an approximation of volume so in that regard it's helpful. I'm hoping over time they will scratch or fade off, or with a little help with a scouring pad I'll force them off due to my OCD tendencies. Summary: I purchased both 12 Qt. stockpots, the Viking & the AllClad (we do a lot of large volume canning etc). They are comparable in quality and function. The AllClad is ever so slightly taller and narrower, but I prefer the Viking shape to work with on the stove as I'm shorter than my husband. I've found that BonAmi is an excellent cleaner to keep both looking like new inside and out. Only complaint is the graduated lines inside the Viking, it's distracting to see the 11Qt. line just below the rim. It is handy though to use the lines to keep track of how much volume has reduced. Overall I am satisfied with the Viking and recommend it as an affordable alternative to the U.S. brand that I am partial to.

Pretty Darn Good
I had been eyeing a much more expensive (AllClad) 12-quart stockpot but couldn't bring myself to pay about twice as much as the Viking. I'm glad I ordered the Viking.. it is a beautiful sheen, great size, nice heft, and what really sold me is that the lid fits like a glove. It is certainly more than 'good enough'. One potential drawback that is not clear from the description: according to the box it is designed in the USA but manufactured in China.

Sturdy Tri-Ply construction - Better than All-Clad
Like all Viking pots and pans, this is high quality. I prefer it over All-Clad. The over all look and style is nice and because it is tri-ply it conducts heat very well. I specifically bought it to replace an anodized aluminum 12 quart stock pot because it can go in the dishwasher. Which when I have a party or host thanksgiving is almost a necessity as so many things pile up to be hand washed.
