My first impression wasn't good, because they included instructions for a different model of speaker. This speaker doesn't use screws for mounting. As long as you have internet access, this isn't a total disaster, but it does make you wonder about what kind of quality control they have at this company.The speaker seems fine, though. Sound quality is decent, the highs and lows aren't great, but that's what I'd expect from a pair of six inch speakers without a sub, and can get loud enough to fill my little living room without trouble. If you don't want to clutter your room up with speakers, these aren't a bad solution. The part of the speakers that is visible is nice and understated, just a white metal grille that's very uniform, nothing shiny or anything to attract attention. You don't really notice them, which I like.

I was skeptical before installing do to sound quality but I had to remember there is no box for the air to produce base. Once installed in ceiling the base is actually pretty good for what it is. If you get bass boosted songs they sound even better.

I replaced my 30 year old ceiling speakers on the patio with these. The old ones sounded okay but the grills were broken and old wasp nest was on the dome and it had holes.The amplifier was an old whole house audio system mounted in the wall but it works. Not really looking to replace it but it still worked.Replaced the old speakers with these and they sounded better. You can tell the difference. Hope they last a while.For a low end system, they work great. Not sure how they sound compared to name brand but I was not looking for that on my porch.

The clarity on one speaker was not close to the other speakers I had purchased. I had to return both.

I am sure they would have been great but apparently one of the previous speakers had a different sized hole, needing a bit larger speaker diameter than first one.

I did not want to cut a hole in my wall or ceiling just to try these out, so I took a pair of cardboard boxes, cut them to the same size and "mounted" these speakers in the cardboard. They sound find and considering the size and that I cannot cut holes in my ceiling or walls, having them in cardboard seems like a good idea! I have another, larger set of speakers and these hold their own against the bigger ones.

If you plan on putting these in a wall or ceiling, as they are designed for, do yourself a solid and also plan on having a hole saw kit and stud finder, and just in case things still go awry, some adhesive mesh and spackle. Because what you don't wanna do is A: sit there with a knife trying to cut a reasonably round hole of specific size, 2. find out there's a stud in the middle of where you wnated to put the speaker midway thru cutting your hole. Other than those caveats, these are bangin' speakers for the buck! I got these installed in my bathroom, and lemme tell ya, they take bath time to a whole new level! Could the sound be better? Of course it could. Am I confident in that 150 watts they say each speaker can handle? Not a bit. I am, however, quite happy with these, and others I've gotten from this company. They put out enough sound to make most any room uncomfortably loud to be in, if that's what you want. And for the price, they can't be beat!
