I recently tried this tool set, which includes 6 plastic drain cleaners and 1 metal snake. The product has both positives and negatives. On the positive side, the plastic drain cleaners are inexpensive and effective for simple clogs. In my experience, the orange defogger worked well in removing hair clogs from my sink, especially when I couldn't access the drain stopper. However, the metal snake with claws was a letdown. It did not fit into my bathtub or shower drains, which was disappointing. Additionally, the plastic snake got stuck in the tub drain, making it difficult to remove.

These are a good value for the price and work perfectly to remove hair from drains. They can be reused many times.

Although I was able to get some of my sink blockage out the orange snake had to be thrown away. The item was damaged just by using it in the sink one time. I had to thread it into the sink a few times before it got the clog out and the little teeth on the sides were bent badly. I think it would have worked better if the snake was thinner and rounded instead of flat and rectangular.

To be honest, my expectations were not very high when I ordered this product. But for the price, I figured why not, perhaps we would not have to get a plumber to unclog the most challenging drain in our house—that of one of the bathrooms basin. This particular drain always clogs. We paid a plumber last year to unclog it and I was astounded at the charge. Liquids rhat are made for unclogging don’t get rid of hair so I came to Amazon to see what I could find. Wow!! These plastic orange snakes ( for better use of a word) have strategically placed teeth that grabs hair and gross stuff from the drain. As I didn’t want any of the teeth to break off, I very carefully moved this down the drain. I could feel it picking stuff up-sort of like fishing! That said, when I saw the amount of hair abd gunk, my gagging reflex went full tilt boogie! I couldn’t even bring myself to take a photo-it was that disgusting. When I called my husband in, he said as delighted and thanked me for ordering this because of the money saved. These will definitely be a repurchase and will be used regularly to clean the drains.

This kit is for WIDE drains. The orange strip is better for some and the tool is better for others, however, if your drain has any metal supports or other structures that would narrow your opening (see pic) you need a slimmer tool. One tub in my house has the 4 prong metal support; the strip barbs kept getting stuck on the way out, and on the way in it kept feeding into the overflow branch and I eventuallyhad to remove that to get the strip out.

It had a dent and that caused the piece to break on the first use.

Scratched the toilet bowl and not long enough to do anything other than a clog near the lip.

Crazy how such a cheap product works do well
