The price seems to fluctuate pretty dramatically, so I’ll preface that I purchased it for $132 (fulfilled by Square Furniture). At that price, it’s a steal. Pros: -very heavy base, unlikely to tip -metal parts seem sturdy -dimensions are as described! Very large! -works as a lamp! Cons: -stated max wattage is confusingly low?? -slightly odd smell, unglamorous packaging -you may have to use your noggin a little bit when assembling More specific observations, in no particular order: The base is a very heavy piece of solid marble, and the whole upper seems like good quality metal, I’m not worried about any structural issues or tipping. I figured it would be pretty difficult to return so I read a lot of the earlier reviews before purchasing, and I think that the design has changed over time—the base I received is a solid piece of stone, with no hardware hidden inside or anything. There was some head-scratching during assembly. All necessary parts were included, but some unecessary parts were also included. For example, one metal tube had a stiff, thick rubber gasket at one end that needed to be removed (tried to fit the other piece in with the gasket, but it was literally impossible, very tight fit even without the gasket). I suspect some components are manufactured for use in other designs, resulting in some extra washers/gaskets/rings ending up in my box. Nonetheless, it all came together and feels pretty solid. It’s a big lamp! I’m 5’10” and can walk under the arch with no issue. I bought it because was no pendant light fixture above the dining table in my apartment, and it is absolutely perfect for this. The shade hangs about 3” above the tabletop, and the base is out of the way in the corner. The box smelled pretty old, and some of the styrofoam was basically disintegrating. The whole thing gave the impression of having sat in a humid warehouse for years, which makes me slightly concerned about the integrity of the electrical components, but haven’t noticed any issues so far. I’ll try to remember to update this review if it fails. Lightbulb was not included, contrary to older reviews, which was fine. The weird part is that the listing lists a max wattage of 8W, which is pretty low for a fixture of this size, and contrary to the label on the lamp itself. In case it helps anyone—the sticker on the actual lamp reads: 100-watt E27 Type A bulb OR USE 23-watt CFL bulb. Overall, I’d highly recommend this lamp if you’re on the market for a properly large arc lamp and don’t want to spend >$1000. The assembly is not exactly glamorous but the lamp itself is gorgeous!

That's what my wife screamed after I assembled it. That's a lot coming from her because she is usually very picky about this type of thing. And I agree with her. They took special care to pack it well so none of the parts was broken or damaged during the shipping. I was especially happy that the marble base was in one piece. Note that the lamp shade is much bigger than it looks in the picture. But it's well made and looks very elegant. The base is very heavy for a good reason which is to support the weight of arching branch, lamp shade, and the light bulb, and it does a good job at that. You can use standard size light bulb, which was not included in the box. The lamp shade has the hinge that can be adjusted in various angle so you can fine tune the angle/direction of light. The highest point of the arch is about 88 inches high from the floor, the lamp shade hangs around at 70 inches high, and the center of the shade extends ~60 inches from the center of the base. My only gripe is that it doesn't come with the instruction. But I also have to point out that it's not that difficult to figure it out yourself. It took me around 20 minutes to assemble it, and it looks fabulous illuminating my round dinner table! By the way, my cat must think it's the Sun. As soon as he saw it, he jumped up on the table right under the lamp head lying on his back with all legs stretched out as if he was getting a tan. This got me extra points from my wife for making the cat happy. Overall, with a little bit over $100, this is the best arch lamp you will find anywhere, and all of us (including cat) are extremely happy with it.

8/1 Re-built using own tools and seems to be holding up ok. So will now give 4 stars. Lesson, if ANY problems...contact Amazon to get the ball rolling. THE END :-) 7/19 The company finally did respond within 24 hours after I went through Amazon. So I guess the key; if you have a problem go through Amazon to get the sellers attention. Alas, I told them I "re-built" and will follow up if the leaning issue seems to arise in a couple of days. 7/18 Ok this is my final answer: 3 stars. I will settle there because I am not sure of the quality but I do like the lamp itself. I have not heard from the company but I decided to take it apart again and start from scratch. The thought returning was a daunting one for sure. ******** What I did is use my own tools vs the horrible wrench that came with the package. I steadied and tightened with pliers and also re-adjusted the screw at the bottom of the pole to a shorter distance. Now it seems to be much sturdier and appears to be doing ok.****** IF the company would have been prompt about service I would have settled at 4 stars. I hope this helps. 7/18 I just removed 3 stars. The lamp base can not withstand the weight of the arc. As of today I filed a claim via Amazon because the company has not responded to my call or email. I have to disassemble the lamp because in a day or so it will have completely tipped over causing damage to my furniture. I did not request a refund only a way to remedy the problem and no reply. Very sad because it is a good looking lamp. 7/15 I ordered this lamp after stalking it for several months. I finally went ahead and hit the buy button. So after reading review after review I now have my own to post. I am very pleased so far with the lamp. I say so far because I don't' have light bulb to test the power as yet; it is being shipped any day now. I got the cool bulb with silver on it. ***Why I gave 4 stars instead of 5: As one reviewer stated the pole does not stand up straight. There is a slight lean towards the arc. I am not sure if this will turn into a problem or not. I may contact seller and see what comes of it. *** So here we go: 1. My package arrived in less than a week. 2. All the pieces were in the packaging. The packaging was excellent. Each component was individually wrapped. And yes the marble base is HEAVY but no so heavy it can't be maneuvered. 3. I am a 5'5" female and I was able to put it together in less than 15 min. The instructions were basic. I am not sure what people were complaining about as far as that goes. It is so basic you can figure out without any instructions. 4. Quality - Looks damn good. And it is not based on the price I mean in general. I have not seen the $700 version in person but from online the difference is minimal. Plus I figure if I wanted it to be THE Coaster light I would pay the price so people who complain that is is "slightly" different perhaps should fork out the money and get the original one? 5. It fits great in my condo. I have a loft (but not a huge one) and it is perfect. I needed a light in my living area. My ceilings are 12'. I will add pics once I get a bulb in it and post.

I couldn't be more satisfied with it. 1. I was hesitating because of all the complaint about the shipping, but it came in several day with perfect condition. The seller actually double pack it to make it stronger. 2. The style is great, and exactly what i am looking for. I cannot compare it with ones over several hundrad bucks, since I don't have one, but this one is totally worth it. Under 100 bucks for this, I will totally recommend it to anyone. I dont know if it was from coaster, but it is worth more than the price. 3. Installation is very easy, and just took me like 10 minutes. No, it has no instruction, but I dont think you need one. It only has one screw. What you only need to do is simply put everything together base on your common sense. 4. The metal has three pieces. The last one can be extended. It is very tight, and you just need some tools to pull it out and adjust to the length you want. Hope this detail will help you, since I was hesitating for a long time because of the bad comments, and I didnt want to get a wrong one which would destroy my whole design. Yes, this is exactly what I expect, and it totally rocks.

This lamp far exceeded my expectations, particularly at this great value price. I've seen other similar lamps in boutique stores for $350 ore more, and this piece is a quality piece. I was a little concerned about the accent cut outs in the lamp shade as I didn't want all sorts of light designs on my ceiling, but we use this lamp in a great room with cathedral ceilings and it doesn't give off those light designs. I love this lamp - the base of the lamp is heavy marble or a marble like material so very little danger of it tipping over. As other reviewers pointed out, it is a very tall lamp so make sure you check out measurements. I don't think we could have used this lamp in our regular rooms with normal ceilings. I really felt like I hit the jackpot with this lamp. LOVE it and the price. Seller did a very efficient packaging job with the lamp and they shipped it super fast, even during the holiday season. Super easy to assemble. It gives off great light and is useful for the person directly under the lamp who may be reading or working.

I wrote to contact the seller three times. I received one response. I ordered this product to arrive between December 27- Jan 2 and it never came, so I contacted them then I was told that it wouldn't be here last Friday but it would come on Monday.monday came and went, Tuesday came and went so I contacted them again with no response. Today I contacted them that I received it. There was a gaping hole in the side of this five foot box. I opened it up and my hurt sunk when I saw all the tape and then another patchwork of cardboard all over, and more tape. By the time I was able to get through it all I lulled out the large marble base to find a nice size chip out of the top outer edge. I use Amazon for shopping on a weekly, sometimes daily basis, and have never been more disappointed than I am with this seller. Don't waste your time. Good or not the heartache from this company just isn't worth the trouble. I have yet to put it together but when I do, if it isn't working I will extend this review. And yes I will be using this while I wait for you people to send me a new base and then you will get your old one back. This is ridiculous and I need light in my room!

This came in a box that looked like it had been returned and taped closed again over and over. But looks were deceiving. Product was new and perfect. It is hard to assemble,only because of the weight of the base and the length of the item making it unwieldy. The base, and the two lengths of the arch have the cord running through them and the parts needed to fasten these three together are attached already, and have to be removed and reinstalled to connect everything. There is no parts packet. The included tool is pretty bad, and we used a socket wrench instead. The base is crazy heavy, so while we had it on its side to screw in the first of the two arch pieces I put some felt pads on so I could slide the thing around on our hardwood floor. It came with a bulb, which I was surprised about, but I chose to put a hue smart bulb in, after attaching the shade, so I could control it with Alexa and dim it down. It’s very bright on 100 percent. But there is also a stepper button you can click with your foot to turn it on and off which is super nice. But you could put a less bright bulb than 60 watts unless you wanted it to be very bright. We have 10 foot ceilings and this is a gorgeous statement piece in our living room. Absolutely love it.

The product arrived four days earlier than expected which was good. Now for the not so good. The packaging was, at best, makeshift. In fact, it looked as if the shipper (who may or may not be the actual manufacturer of the product) simply went to the shelf, picked out a bunch of parts, and tried to find a box that would fit them. The instructions were extremely basic and never mentioned that the nuts, washers, screws, etc. were actually contained inside one of the pieces rather than in a separate plastic bag. In fact, we were all set to contact the shipper and read them the riot act when my wife had the brilliant idea to put a wrench to the end of the bottom piece to see what would happen. Out came everything we needed! Also, there is no product documentation whatsoever so you have to experiment around with what kind of bulb will work the best. Fortunately, once we got all the parts squared away, it was an easy assembly and the product looks fantastic over our dining table. Another word of caution. The base is quite heavy and if you're not prepared for the weight and lift it with bad body mechanics, you could really injure yourself!
