Secrets of the Sword Alone

While the translation is very readable the decision to place the illustrations at the end of the book rather than inline in their proper place in the text render the whole thing much less inaccessible and it becomes a frustrating read.

I'm glad I found this translation of a rare sixteenth-century fencing manual. It was valuable for both research and historical fencing practice.
