This winch works, and works well.
This gets used constantly for removing Jeeps at a secret Toyota off road testing Facility. Everybody(and I mean EVERYBODY)knows that Toyota vehicles don't get stuck. When a winch is mounted on a Toyota, they typically just waste away, in the hopes that one day their time to shine can come. Unless that Toyota driver hangs out with Jeep drivers, that day may never come. It's ridiculous. This winch will also not damage the bumper warmers that are being factory installed on Ford and Chevrolet trucks that are designed to keep your hands warm while you push your broken down trucks.

Little disappointed but seems to work
Like another person posted in the reviews, the control pack looked damaged and dirty once unpacked. The shipping box and container was fine so it had to be packaged that way. I had to clean it up and luckily the control pack only had a small crack in it and wasn't completely busted although it was banged up. The winch itself looked brand new. I installed it all and everything seems to work. I expected better but maybe this was why this was the best price on these I could find because of damaged or cosmetic defects?

Back Country Insurance
Installed this winch on a 2004 Silverado using a Rough Country hidden winch mount kit. Tight fit, but doable. So far I'm happy with the winch. I've only used it for dragging large downed trees for firewood and it has a fast retrieval speed.

Defective and broken
Received a winch that had been broken during assembly. The package was unscathed and the broken pieces were wrapped up with the winch. You're buying a defective product from this seller and not a new product.

very nice winch. I've used it from self recovery to pulling a td6 bulldozer out of a bad spot along with the many chores that come living in the mountains. ps. used 3line for the dozer, don't forget to get snatch block's as well recovery straps and d- rings.

No complaints, device works as advertised. Online documentation missing (website content obsolete).

Warn XD900
The Warn XD9000 winch is a very capable and tough product. No surprise that Warn is on top when it comes to winches. Amazon delivered in a timely manner, and at a great price.
