I am a big fan of sandalwood soaps, and this one leaves an incredible long lasting scent. However, it is a really bad value. The Chinese Bee & Flower brand is nearly as good in terms of long lasting at 1/3 the price. I would buy this one again if I felt like being spendy.

Yes, it's true, Washington did indeed use the cologne from this perfumery, American's oldest (established 1752). I remember stopping by its elderly Lexington Avenue store in Manhattan to shop for colognes, soaps and powders. But the New York real estate industry is no respecter of history, and one day the store was gone. A flitting existence of a small number of its products on the internet and in a popup store seemed like the death knell. And now it's back, in all its glory, on the internet at least, and that's great. Caswell-Massey offers superb gifts that make any recipient feel like a king or queen. The packaging is royally tasteful and the scents are marvelous.

I’ve used this brand of soap for a long time.My skin is sensitive to a lot of brands but not the Casewell-Massey. I’ve probably tried every scent and all are beautifully fragrant but my absolute favorite is the rose. My husband loves the almond. It’s a high end quality soap and does not melt fast like the brands you find in the grocery or drug store. The 3 pack comes beautifully boxed up and makes a lovely hostess gift, if you’re willing to part with it!
