Excellent and Tasty Method to Easily Dose Your Pet With Needed Mediicatiom.
I have been using spill Pill Pockets for several years now. At, this point, they are available in various formats - capsule, or tablet. They are also available in various flavored, to provide various tasty alternatives for your pet. For years, it was necessary to corner or hold the dog tightly, wrench the jaws of the the terrified and squirmy pet open, and attempt to jam the medication deep into the throat of the struggling and unhappy pet. Pet Poclets were a very timely, necessary, and far less stressful and cruel method to medicate your pet. The various flavored seem to have filled all of my dogs with major excitement, and the convenient variation in size is extremely well thought out. I highly recommends all versions of this product. It is even possible to use smaller bits and pieces of a poll pocket for a smaller or larger tablet of capsule. The texture is similar to cookie dough, making it quite simple, as well as pleasant to give your pet it's necessary medical treatments. What a relief - just press the medication into the necessary amount needed of the pill pocket, press the medication into the dough, cover the medication with the remaining portions of the pill pocket, as needed, ant present to your excited and happy pet. There will be mo more bitten or scraped fingers for the pet owner. And there will be no more chewed-upon fingers to nurse after each dosage of medication. For the pet, this is a tremendous improvement - no more terrifying encounters ar medication time" sore throats caused by jamming the pill harshly down the throat of the pet. This is the modern, and far more enlightened and humane, method for treating your pet in when medication is necessary.mthe flvors seem to be quite attractive to your pet, and do not smell horrdlr, leaving an unpleasant reminder of the medication upon your fingers after the treatment. I have fostered and adopted many dogs, and this product is an extremely sensiblle, and pleasant manner to treat you right pets. a warm, non-stressful,

The No-Stress Way to Get Your Dog to Voluntarilly Take Medication
We bought these for our dog, Rosie, when she became ill shortly after Christmas. They are literally the only way that we could get her to take any type of medication (and I still had to sniff them and pretend to eat a bit so that she would be convinced that she really wanted them- a smart dog not easily hooodwinked- our Rosie). They actually do smell good and even fairly large pills can be covered and rolled into a ball. I think if the pills had been really big, I would have just used two and joined the pockets together. They are a great product that can eliminate a great deal of the stress that goes into trying to get your dog to take pills. One last note. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Amazon. A couple of days after ordering these, we had to put our old girl to sleep. When Jim contacted Amazon about returning the pockets, as we hadn't used any, he was told that this wasn't a returnable item. However, the person he corresponded with gave us the credit. We were able to put these in with unused cans of Rosie's food and other things and donate it all to our vet, who did his best.

Makes medicating easy!
These things are a godsend when you have dogs that need medication every single day. The dogs love them, and gulp them right down with no fuss. They can be very pricey in a regular pet store, so I always check Amazon for a good price. Just a tip: while the tablet size is too small for a capsule or large pill, the capsule size Pill Pocket can be cut in half and used for a capsule or large pill just fine. Saves some money, and you don't go through them as fast.

So much better than shoving pills down you dogs throat
A little pricey at the store so buying them from Amazon.com is about 1/2 the price when you buy the 6 pack. My dog has to take 6 pills AM and 6 pills PM due to his size (130 lbs) and has now added 2 more a day due to thyroid problem. The first few months I would shove them down his throat and follow up with a treat because the pill pockets were too expensive...ended up being about 60.00 a month...just as much as his pills cost and 120.00 per month was a bit too much for me. Now adding the thyroid pills at 50.00 per month this dog is becoming even more expensive. I use one pocket for 2 pills and he gobbles them like candy. I found that velvetta cheese works the same and is a lot cheaper but then I feel like everything is slimy from the cheese after I wrap the cheese around the pills. He does love those too. The pill pockets are just so easy to use. I read the reviews from the bucket of goo where you just take as much as you need to cover the pills. That was cheaper but everyone was complaining about the smell and getting bad batches. I have had nothing but good luck from Pill Pockets. My dog and I would readily recommend these.

Very good product, with a price to match
Good: Makes pill time much easier and more pleasant for pet and owner alike. Have yet to see a dog that doesn't love these, and they go down easily enough to where there is little chance they'll notice the pill. Large enough to accommodate more than one pill or small capsule, and divide easily to give smaller pills. Bad: Very expensive for what are essentially small dog treats with a hole in the middle. Ugly: The hickory flavored pockets have a very strong and pervasive smell, to the point where you pretty much have to wash your hands after handling one. Dogs don't need an overpowering scent, and humans really don't need this one either. Bottom line: The few competing products out there are inferior and hard to find. I'd like to see a good alternative come along, if only to force Greenies to drop their price a little. Five stars, minus one for the unreasonably-high price.

A Game Changer!
These are the best!! I have a dog who takes approximately 20 pills a day and is the best at finding them in his food and spitting them out. I’ve tried disguising the pills with cheese, hot dogs, peanut butter, you name it, I’ve tried it. Nothing worked. Now I put the pills in the pill pockets and he gobbles them right down - he will eat then right out of my hand or in his food. I have tried all the flavors and my dogs have a clear preference for the hickory smoked flavor. This flavor has a stronger odor than the chicken or the PB, and I think that’s why my dogs gobble these up. This flavor is also softer and more pliable than the other flavors, so it’s easier to wrap the pills in them. I find that the capsule size is much better than the pill size for a dog who takes multiple pills, because you can stuff more pills into each pocket. I put two large, 3 medium, or 4 small pills into each pocket. If you dog only needs one pill, you can use only 1/2 pocket. These are worth every penny I spend on them - without them I’d be having a constant challenge trying to get all his medication in him.

Great results!
I have tried several other flavors: chicken, peanut butter, & beef. The chicken & peanut butter flavors were not a strong enough flavor to mask the med smell so my dog would not take her meds. The peanut butter was the least effective. It was too dry to mold around the meds & the flavor was not strong enough to mask the smell of the meds. She would actually spit out the pill pocket & I would have to wrap it in messy peanut butter to get her to take the med which kinda defeated the purpose of the pill pocket in the first place. She is on about 10 pills daily & she is not easily fooled when it comes to taking her meds. Some of them are capsules that I have to open & shake out a partial dose onto the pill pocket. I break up the pill pockets into the smallest pieces that I can use to cover the med. Several of them apparently taste quite nasty. The beef flavor masked the med smell fairly well, but this hickory flavor is the best. It is a strong flavor & she loves the taste so she thinks she is getting a treat. The other dog begs for the pill pockets also when he sees the other dog taking her meds.

Great item for helping to give meds!
My Doberman takes many, many medications, and he gets so tired of having to do that. Now I just use the pill pockets and have no more problems. Sometimes I put the meds in the pockets and then mix with his food. He never even notices! One way to save is not to use the entire "pocket" for each pill. Rather than that, simply pinch off a small amount of the pocket---enough just to cover the pill or capsule. This is really effective if you intend to mix it with his food. Great product and price on Amazon.

Great Choice
My dog LOVES these, and it’s the only way we can get him to take his medication. We’ve tried yogurt, peanut butter, cheese, all of it - and nothing works like these do. The only critique I have of this particular flavour (hickory smoke) is that they seem to fall apart if you really pack them with pills. We’ve tried the chicken flavour and those are much sturdier and don’t crumble easily.
