Grape seed oil
Was so excited to receive this after reading the benefits of grapeseed oil. Consuming grapeseed oil is one way to lower so-called "bad cholesterol" (LDL cholesterol), while simultaneously increasing "good cholesterol" (HDL cholesterol), thereby getting your overall ratio of LDL cholesterol to HDL cholesterol into a healthier balance. When choosing a grapeseed oil product or non-high oleic safflower or non-high oleic sunflower oil, make sure the amount of Polyunsaturated Fat is at least 3x that of the Monounsaturated Fat to get the cholesterol benefits. Also, grapeseed oil has a higher smoke point than olive oil so it can be used for frying.Packed well by Amazon, one can was dented but no leaks. Something I wanted to know before I purchased the oil was the nutrition facts which aren't listed on Amazon. Great cooking oil
After learning grapeseed oil could withstand heat without smoking, I decided to give it a try. I found this brand at a distant healthfood store. I tried it and really love it. I am trying to get GMO oils (soy, canola, most vegetable oils) out of my diet. I use and love Nutiva coconut oil which I buy from Amazon so I came here to find a closer source for the grapeseed oil. Grapeseed oil is a mild, nearly tastless oil. It can be kept in the refrigerator without getting hard. It can be used for deep frying without breaking down into transfats. I use it to make mayonaise, salad dressing and anywhere I don't want the taste of the oil to come through. One other thing, I mix grapeseed oil and coconut oil half and half, add a few drops of lavender essential oil and tea tree oil. I use a tiny amount applied to damp skin. It leaves my skin silky soft. I no longer buy expensive skin creams. This gives me softer skin from head to toe.

Great Product at a Low Price.
The store I usually buy grape seed oil locally has been out for some time, so I decided to purchase it from Amazon. The Montebaldo oil is from Italy. I'm sure they have tons of grape seed to process.I can see and taste no difference from the much more expensive brands even organic ones. The cans of oil arrived with no damage or leaks. The metal cans protect the oil from damaging sunlight, and from the possibility of chemicals leaching from a plastic container.I thought it was strange that the spout was flush with the can top, until I discovered that the pour spout pulls up about an inch. It is stiff, but it does pull up believe me. It would be nice if they showed this on the package.Great idea that prevents damage during shipping and then allows it to be poured without spilling.I would recommend this to everyone. If you order 2, you get free shipping.

Odorless, tasteless, perfect.
Since I found out that heating olive oil negates all the healthy qualities of it (in fact, it creates cancer-causing free radicals!) I started using grapeseed oil instead. Well, first I used canola, until I read enough info about that stuff to steer clear for the most part. So, yes, grapeseed oil has been a life-saver for me. I use it for just about any application that uses heat. It has a very pleasant flavor, which is so mild that I'll go ahead and call it flavorless. I find that to be a good thing when it comes to oil! Perfect for roasting veggies in the oven, sauteeing chicken in the skillet, or baking a cake. The only other oil I use with heat is coconut oil. Sometimes, though, you just don't want that coconutty flavor, or you're house isn't warm enough to liquify the coconut oil and you don't feel like scraping it out of the container. Grapeseed oil to the rescue. I even started using it for dressings, which COULD use olive oil just as well, but taste just a little bit better with grapeseed. I'll be honest, I don't notice a difference between this brand and Spectrum. Both great; this one is a little cheaper.

The spout DOES pull up!
Yes, after spilling much oil all over the can when the spout was flush with the top, I read at least two reviews that mentioned the spout does pull up about an inch above the can. No more spills! Other reviewers also mentioned that their cans arrived dented. Mine did too, both of them. They arrived badly dented which in my opinion compromises the freshness of the product. However, I gave five stars because we do use the oil quite a bit and will use it up long before any terrible freshness issues arise. So overall, the packaging has issues but the oil inside is delightful. Not sure if I would purchase this product again, simply because looking at the badly dented cans everyday doesn't evoke good vibes.

Great!
I read somewhere that grapeseed oil is good for the hair so I decided to buy this. Then I discovered it would take me forever to consume the 2 cans of this oil since grapeseed oil can go rancid in less than a year. So I've started using it to cook. Any idea on how long this particular oil lasts? Thus far, I'm not sure what it does for my hair (I mix it with other oils) but I'm sure it's working wonders. It has no taste and like one reviewer said regarding the spout, it does pull out. I was confused on that part when I attempted to open it until I read one of the reviews that mentioned you can pull the white thing up.

Nice All-Purpose Oil
This is a nice oil that works well with well for both light stir-frying and salad dressings. I especially like it for marinating vegetables because it doesn't have a strong taste. As others have mentioned, grapeseed oil has a lot of antioxidants, which make it a healthy choice. I purchased a small bottle at the local grocery store for the price of one of these cans, so I was glad to find it here at such a reasonable price. I'll probably keep the smaller bottle, and use this large one as a refill.
