Would these be helpful for daytime potty training and stopping pools of pee from being on the carpet? Do they still let your child feel the wetness?

It would probably work for that, but you might still get some pee leaking down their leg to the floor. Certainly it would work for small accidents. It’s really meant for overflow containment from diapers more than anything else (my youngest child is a bed wetter and he is large enough now that diapers can’t contain overnight pee).

Has anyone used both adjustable waistband and the elastic ones, that can share which one worked best 😅?

Yes, I have both types. The ones with the simple drawstring style waist band work way better than the ones with the big soft elastic waistband. On The ones with the big soft piece of elastic, that elastic part is not waterproof. And it does not hold its elasticity after a few washes so the pants slip down and then they leak from that waistband area. I have not had the same problem with the other style which have held up great.

My child at these so much i can't keep up with drying them. Will throwing them in the dryer on low heat ruin them?

I havent had any problems...I turn it inside out then put it in the dryer. I've been getting up 2x at night to take my kiddo to the bthrm...and he hasn't even had an accident
