I'm taking this for hair growth. I was taking 6 drugstore tablets daily and wanted an easier way to get the amount of collagen I need. This was sealed well and container in perfect condition. It's as fine as flour. The scoop was in the middle and a little hard to find. The scoop is good size, almost 2.5 tablespoons, 10 grams. I tasted the powder straight up and detected no taste. There is a very slight smell that is sort of earthy but such a faint odor and not off putting. I added 8g to my cereal. It dissolved well. I couldn't detect it. I couldn't taste it and it didn't thicken the milk. Also same with orange juice. I put in iced water and got a little clumping, slight discoloration and minor thickening. Detected a slight taste and odor. Next I'll try coffee, black. But won't do ice water again. Also I had no stomach issues, which I didn't have with the tablets either. I just received this a few days ago but I'm happy with it. I'll need to take this for several months for hair growth and the quantity is perfect.

I really like this collagen, I have tried 2 others, giving them all a fair chance of 2-3+ months to really see how they worked for me. I just purchased my second container and it arrived sealed tight like the first. The powder is very fine all the way through, with the others there were small clumps as if the product had maybe taken on some moisture. I don’t notice a taste or change in flavor to my morning coffee, one of the other brands gave an aftertaste. It blends nicely in coffee, and I’m sure it would in other foods as well. And to y’all that find blending powder into liquids difficult... can we say frother! This is an amazing little kitchen tool that is inexpensive and just adds another simplicity to life 😉. It also gives you the coffee shop feel of a latte. The amount of collagen per serving is more than most, and the price point for quantity is much more than all I have tried, so double win there! As for the benefits, to each their own. My hair is lovely and thicker for sure, and the natural curls that were pretty much frizz or fluff after my two babes have returned and then some! My nails are stronger and grow faster as well. Don’t expect dragon lady nails lol. My skin is always better while taking collagen, but I don’t depend on it completely, your beauty health routine makes a big difference as well. I am a regular gym girl so my body gets sore sometimes, I can honestly say that after completing the first container my body is less stressed feeling, more often than not. That being said I would highly recommend this product, I plan to continue using it through at least 3 containers to really see how the benefits may continue and possibly additionally add to my body as a whole.

All the reviews I see on here are from older individuals. Here's my take on collagen for the younger masses. Background: 27, Male, Arthritis in hips, Active, Weight Lifter, Joint pains in knees and wrists. I'm looking for something besides fish,krill, or flax seed oils for join relief. Started taking on 01/23/2019: Week 1: I mix it with Milk, Chocolate Syrup, 1 Scoop. There are people claiming that you can not taste this stuff. I definitely beg to differ. There is a subtle taste of something chalky. Whatever you mix this in will definitely turn THICKER. The consistency would be compared to a thick motor oil. Very heavy. NO CLUMPS!!! The Collagen dissolved 100% in the drink. Super surprised. There are a lot of supplements I take that don't fully dissolve with a much smaller scoop. Effects: Week 1: No effects. The flavor got bearable during the week. I now take this first thing in the morning. Week 2: Beginning of the week (1/30/19) I live in New England and we have been having some crazy temperature fluctuation with temperatures going from -16 to 62. This normally would have my arthritis flaring. I have no flare ups and no pain. I'm walking perfectly fine. Effects Week 2: Definitely no pain from arthritis. Joints are feeling the same. I've lessened my weight lifts and switched to higher repetitions. There could be a correlation to less weights and letting my joints recover. I'll switch to higher weights again soon and see what happens. I will report back at the end of the month *UPDATE* 02/27/2019 Remodeled my bathroom over the last week. During the process, i felt that pain i used to feel in my wrist. The pain lasted exactly the rest of that day and when I woke up in the morning, it was a little stiff, but fine since then. I think this collagen has overall had a positive effect on me. I will continue taking it until I run out and maybe hop off of it and see if I notice any negative effects from not being on it. I will most likely be buying more in the future.

Since I'm having knee surgery in a week, I wanted to get a jump start on helping my body heal. Collagen, along with other nutrients, contributes to healthy ligaments and skin, making it easier for your body to knit itself back together. I mix a scoop of this collagen powder with some mango & passion fruit juice (I also throw some Benefiber in there since fiber is a very important component for other areas of health) in a shaker bottle with some ice. Give it a shake and toss it down the hatch... tah dah! Those parts of my healthy diet are taken care of for the day. This powder is very fine, and has no smell or flavor. It dissolves quickly with no lumps or clumps (with some assistance from the wisk ball in the shaker bottle) and doesn't leave an aftertaste. I'm holding off on that 5th star until I've had time to assess whether this helps improve my internal healing process, as well as improve the external things such as hair and skin. So far I'm very pleased with this purchase and look forward to seeing how well I heal after surgery. Wish me luck! 😊

tasteless, dissolves well, great price and quality!

This collagen mixes better in cold beverages than any I have tried yet. It doesn't mix well in ice cold drinks and the warmer the beverage the better but it does well in drinks on the cooler side. The flavor is a little stronger than I prefer, but I can definitely deal with it. If used in coffee with a splash of flavored creamer, you can't taste it at all. I take collagen for a few reasons: 1. Weight loss. I have been taking this for over a month now and have lost 5 lbs. I do combine it with intermittent fasting so I'm not sure it's actually the collagen. However, IF and collagen tried as stand alone weight loss trials haven't yielded any loss for me. Everyone's weight loss journey's are different. This may or may not work for you and the opposite for someone else. 2. Arthritis. It's the worst in my hands but my knees and shoulders hurt as well. Taking this collagen has helped some for my hands and significantly in my knees and shoulders. I am certainly going to keep taking this for this reason if no other. I absolutely believe this helps painful joints. 3. Aging. Let's face it. None of us are getting any younger. I was thrown into surgical menopause in my late 30s and the lack of hormones has sped up the aging process. I am hopeful this helps long term with skin elasticity and keeps the wrinkles at bay for a while longer. So far I can't really tell much of a difference. This is not my primary reason for taking it so it'll just be an added benefit. 4. Hair and nails. They say it's supposed to support health and growth of hair and nails. I decided to try something different this summer and I chopped my hair short. Was hoping I'd love it. I hate it. But in just a month (maybe closer to 5 or 6 weeks) of taking this, my hair has grown out to a very manageable length. I've already had to cut my bangs twice. It feels thicker and I'm not using my straightener as much. I do believe this collagen helps both hair and nails growth and health. 5. I bought this particular collagen based on reviews, packaging and what I know about collagen and what this one offers (grass fed, etc). I drive for a living and was looking for a better way to take the collagen without toting a big canister around with me. I absolutely LOVE these to-go packets!! I usually drink a half bottle of water, add a flavor packet of some sort (I like the True Lemon lemonades), and a packet of the collagen to the other half... and it goes down smooth! Can barely taste it this way. If I'm in a situation where I can actually drink some coffee, I add a splash of French vanilla creamer and a packet of the collagen and bam! Yum! Overall, I would buy this again (and have). I am trying out some other brands just for the taste factor but I have at least a 20 day supply on hand in case I don't like the others. So far, this one wins.

Collagen powders in general are pricey. Another brand I’ve used now for a year, has been creeping up in price lately. I decided to “bargain shop” to see what there was out there. This brand had good reviews and the price was right for the size canister (someone had mentioned the weight was not what the label said. And an answer from the manufacturer mentioned they had an issue with the label printer and instead of saying 21 ounces it said 24. Still a bargain) The product is a very fine powder. The canister has a scoop which is handy. Many have been eliminating them due to garbage waste. (I’ve saved a few for this very reason) I find I just need to handle the canister carefully or upon opening, a small cloud will poof out and it gets all over making the counter sticky when you use a wet cloth to clean up. Slow & gentle and you’ll be good. Also, when you scoop the powder do it slow because you’ll get another poof since the scoop is fairly deep and traps a small amount of air. I add a scoop to my morning coffee and it blends well with a stick blender (I use one to blend my coffee) It doesn’t clump at all. It doesn’t add any flavor either. Time will tell if this helps like the other brand. I’m very satisfied and will continue to repurchase as long as the price stays affordable for the amount. Another thing I like about this brand is it’s in a canister not a bag. If they offered refill bags in addition to canisters that would be helpful (I plan on saving a canister or two so I have one handy if/when I purchase a bag of collagen) I highly recommend this brand and will purchase again.

I was using vitals protein collagen peptides prior to using this brand for 4 months I had amazing results with my nails, hair growth and healing of my skin. I switched to this brand due to the high lead + heavy metal amounts in VP. I’ve been using this daily two scoops like I did with VP for a month ( this collagen has a smidge higher mg in amino acids than VP per scoop) and unfortunately my nails broke, became thin and brittle they haven’t even grown any cuts I get take forever to heal or end up leaving a scar hue, my hair has also changed tremendously and is starting to shed more. I’ve been doing the same high protein diet religiously for the past 5 months the only new change was this collagen :/. It’s unfortunate the price, amount of powder, and ingredients would’ve made this a great purchase. I do have to say as far as body pain, muscle soreness/ recovery, this was effective I get DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) now I mildly feel sore the next day still able to do workouts instead of being unable to move 3 days later and take a full week of rest. This does blend well in a shaker and does not make my protein shakes taste saltier or off.
